Patriot League Announces Weekly Awards

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Oct. 19-25 in men and women's soccer, field hockey, volleyball and men and women's swimming and diving on Monday.

Corvias Patriot League Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DOYLE TUVESSON, LEHIGH So., F, Kennett Square, Pa.
Tuvesson scored the game-winner in Lehigh's 3-2 overtime road victory over first-place Boston University. The sophomore's golden goal came just 58 seconds into overtime to hand the Terriers their first League loss of the season. The win also marked the first time in program history that the Mountain Hawks defeated BU. Tuvesson also notched an assist in the win against the Terriers as well as an assist in the 2-1 win over James Madison earlier in the week.

CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MICHAEL CHERRY, AMERICAN Jr., D, Fairfax, Va.
Cherry helped the Eagles secure three more points in the standings with a 3-0 shutout of Bucknell at home. The junior aided the backline to help preserve the clean sheet on Saturday, holding the Bison to just four shots and only two on target. In addition to supplying defensive coverage, Cherry also added two shots in the victory, including one on goal.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
KEVIN WRIGHT, HOLY CROSS Sr., GK, McKinney, Texas
Wright earns his first Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honor this season after posting his fourth shutout of the year and 12th of his career in a 1-0 win versus Lafayette. The senior tallied three saves in the League win to bring the Crusaders' point total in the standings to eight. Earlier in the week, Wright totaled five saves and allowed only one goal in a 1-0 loss to Northeastern, for a weekly total of a .889 save percentage.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
ALEX GREENE, LEHIGH Fr., M, Flower Mound, Texas
Greene tallied a team-best five points in Lehigh's 2-0 week, scoring a pair of goals in the Mountain Hawk's midweek non-League contest with James Madison and tallying an assist in the 3-2 overtime win over Boston University. The rookie scored his first goal against the Dukes in the 43rd minute. Then after JMU tied the game at 70:07, Greene scored his second goal of the game -- the eventual game-winner -- at 71:40. He also helped Lehigh hand the Terriers their first League loss of the season after assisting on the Mountain Hawk's second goal of the game.

HONORABLE MENTION

XANDER SALING, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., F, Maplewood, N.J.
Saling scored the first three goals of his collegiate career in Loyola Maryland's 3-2 win over Drexel -- including the game-winner with 15 seconds remaining in regulation -- and became the first Greyhound to record a hat trick since 2014.

ETHAN KUTLER, COLGATE Jr., F, Lansing, N.Y.
Kutler had a hand in all four of the Raiders goals this week, collecting two assists and a goal against Hartwick before tallying the game-winner at Navy.

ARNO RUPP, HOLY CROSS So., F, Wolfsberg, Austria
Rupp recorded his first goal of the season with the game-winner in the 1-0 win over Lafayette.

DYLAN HOBERT, AMERICAN Sr., GK, Carrollton, Ga.
Hobert has not allowed a goal in 563 minutes of League play and has only allowed one goal in the month of October. He collected his eighth shutout of the season, recording two saves in the 3-0 victory over Bucknell.

Corvias Patriot League Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MCKENNA DOYLE, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Fr., F, Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Doyle tallied a goal in each of Boston University's two wins last week to earn four points. The rookie notched a goal in a 3-0 win over Holy Cross on Wednesday and then netted the first goal of the 2-0 win over Army West Point on Saturday. With the 2-0 week, BU clinched the Patriot League regular season title and right to host the semifinal and championship rounds of the Patriot League Women's Soccer Tournament. Doyle has now totaled 10 points in League play this season, including four goals.

RACHEL BLOZNALIS, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., D, Upton, Mass.
A key contributor on the Terriers' defense, Bloznalis netted her first career goal and collected an assist as BU went 2-0 on the week to clinch the Patriot League regular season title and right to host the semifinal and championship rounds of the League Tournament. Two minutes before making a goal-line save to preserve the shutout, the junior scored the second goal of the 3-0 win over Holy Cross off a free kick, and was named the "Turnpike Trophy" game MVP. Bloznalis also added an assist off a corner in the 2-0 win over Army West Point on Saturday.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
JESSICA RATNER, BUCKNELL Jr., GK, Langhorne, Pa.
Ratner set a school single-season shutout record of nine games after recording back-to-back shutouts against Loyola Maryland and Lehigh. The junior keeper notched her fourth-straight shutout for the Bison -- tied for a single-season record dating back to 2002 -- and helped Bucknell secure the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Women's Soccer Tournament. Ratner tallied a total of 10 saves, four against the Greyhounds and six versus the Mountain Hawks.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
JOURDAN ZIFF, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., F, Temecula, Calif.
Ziff scored her first collegiate goal, which was ultimately the game-winner, in Loyola's 3-2 win over Colgate. The rookie netted the goal at the 44:16 mark, helping Loyola to its first win against the Raiders in program history. The victory also secured a spot in the Patriot League Tournament for the Greyhounds.

HONORABLE MENTION

ROSEY HAYES, LOYOLA MARLYAND Sr., M, Northport, N.Y.
Hayes collected three points in the 3-2 win over Colgate, helping the Greyhounds solidify a spot in the Patriot League Tournament. She assisted on the first goal against the Raiders and netted the second.

MADISON LOOS, BUCKNELL Sr., M, Centennial, Colo.
Loos helped the Bison secure the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament after a 2-0 week. She scored a goal in the 2-0 win over Loyola Maryland and added an assist in the 3-0 win over Lehigh.

GRACE CORRELL, LEHIGH So., F, Bay Head, N.J.
Correll helped the Mountain Hawks to a 1-0 double overtime win against crosstown rival Lafayette on Wednesday by scoring the game-winner in the 103rd minute.

JULIA WESCOTT, LAFAYETTE Jr., F, East Brunswick, N.J.
Wescott scored the game-winning goal in Lafayette's 1-0 win over Navy on Sunday, helping the Leopards keep their playoff hopes alive.

NICOLE WAHLIG, LOYOLA MARYLAND Jr., D, East Meadow, N.Y.
Wahlig contributed two assists, including one on the game-winner, in the 3-2 win over Colgate that clinched Loyola's berth in the Patriot League Tournament.

ALYSSA PARISI, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., GK, Camarillo, Calif.
Parisi added two more shutouts and recorded a total of eight saves to help the Terriers secure the Patriot League regular-season title and right to host the semifinal and championship rounds of the League Tournament. She is currently on a five-game shutout streak.

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MAUREEN CONNOLLY, HOLY CROSS So., F, New Canaan, Conn.
Connolly played a key role in keeping Holy Cross' hopes alive for the Patriot League Tournament as she scored two goals to lead the Crusaders to a 3-2 win at Lafayette on Saturday, tying the teams for fourth place in the League standings. Holy Cross scored three consecutive second-half goals after trailing 1-0, with Connolly evening the score in the 38th minute and tallying a crucial insurance goal in the 60th minute to give the Crusaders a 3-1 lead. Connolly leads the Crusaders in goals (9), assists (6) and points (24), ranking in the top three in the Patriot League in each category. She becomes Holy Cross' first Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honoree since the 2009 season.

CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RACHEL COLL, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., D, Greymouth, New Zealand
Coll stood out on both ends of the field as No. 17 Boston University completed an unbeaten Patriot League campaign and captured its first League regular-season title with a 6-0 win over Bucknell on Saturday. Coll recorded the first two-goal effort of her career on her Senior Day as she tallied unassisted goals in the 32nd and 52nd minute to extend BU's lead to 5-0. She also led a dominant defense that limited Bucknell to one shot on goal and just three shots overall on the afternoon. Coll is named Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in the last four weeks and fourth in her career.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
CAMMY JENSEN, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., GK, Escondido, Calif.
Jensen stopped the only shot she faced and played the first 65:46 in goal as Boston University clinched the Patriot League regular-season title with a 6-0 win over Bucknell on Saturday. She lowered her League-leading goals against average to 1.77 for the season, and finished with a 0.85 GAA in BU's six Patriot League contests. Jensen is named Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this year.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KARA ENOCH, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Fr., F, Yorktown, Va.
Enoch put Boston University ahead 3-0 over Bucknell with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute as the Terriers went on to a 6-0 victory to complete an unbeaten Patriot League campaign. It was her second goal of the season to go with three assists, and Enoch earns the Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week award for the first time.

HONORABLE MENTION

KIERSTEN SYDNOR, BUCKNELL Sr., F, Shippensburg, Pa.
Sydnor had a hat trick to lead Bucknell to a 4-1 win at Yale on Sunday and increase her Patriot League-leading goals total to 14 for the season.

NATALIE KONERTH, AMERICAN Jr., F, Huntingtown, Md.
Konerth had the game-winning goal in double overtime and notched a pair of assists in American's 4-3 win over Indiana on Sunday.

KASSIDY GREEN, LEHIGH Jr., M, Emmaus, Pa.
Green scored the game-winning goal just over three minutes into overtime to lift Lehigh past Colgate 2-1 on Saturday.

AMANDA MAGADAN, LAFAYETTE Jr., F, Randolph, N.J.
Magadan had a goal in each game over the weekend for the Leopards.

Molten Patriot League Volleyball Weekly Awards

MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MONIKA SMIDOVA, AMERICAN Sr., S, Plzen, Czech Republic
Smidova recorded a season-high 54 assists and 16 digs in the Eagles' five-set loss to non-League opponent George Washington on Wednesday. Over the weekend, the senior setter then helped American record two more straight-set League victories over Bucknell and Lafayette. Against the Bison, Smidova was just shy of a triple-double, recording 32 assists, 15 digs, and nine kills. She then followed up with a 23-assist, 11-dig, seven-kill performance against the Leopards. Smidova finished the week hitting .485 with 19 kills and 109 assists (9.91 per set), along with 42 digs and seven blocks.

MOLTEN ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KATIE PATRICK, NAVY Fr., MH, Aurora, Colo.
Patrick earns her first career weekly honor after helping the Mids to their second-straight 2-0 weekend in League play. The rookie totaled 20 kills and hit .405 across Navy's 3-1 win over Lehigh and 3-2 win over Bucknell. Against the Mountain Hawks, Patrick set a career-high 12 kills and also produced her second-best hitting percentage in a match (.524). Against the Bison, she recorded a career-high five total blocks, including a career-best three block assists.

HONORABLE MENTION

NICOLE PERRI, ARMY WEST POINT Sr., OH, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
Perri had a career-high 14 digs against Holy Cross to go with 18 kills for her first double-double of the season. She then followed with 17 kills in a 3-1 win over Colgate.

DOROTHY MURRAY, NAVY So., OPP, Harbor City, Calif.
Murray posted back-to-back matches with double-digit kills (17 & 18) and helped Navy to its second-straight 2-0 weekend in League play.

ANA VRHEL, LEHIGH Sr., MB, Berwyn, Ill.
Hitting .345 over a 2-1 weekend, Vrhel tallied 25 kills, three aces, and 14 blocks.

Corvias Patriot League Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

CORVIAS MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
CHRIS DEVLIN, BUCKNELL So., Dresher, Pa.
Devlin came away with a first and second-place finish in individual events and swam a leg on the winning 400 medley relay in the Bison's home dual meet with Pitt on Saturday. The sophomore took first out of 11 swimmers in the 400 IM with his time of 4:02.63 and touched the wall over four seconds before the next swimmer. He then finished as the runner up, out of 11, in the 200 free with a time of 1:43.15 and helped Bucknell to a first-place finish out of seven in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:27.66.

CORVIAS FEMALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
KAITLYN RUFFING, LEHIGH Jr., Murrysville, Pa.
Ruffing helped the Mountain Hawks to two wins over the weekend with three individual event victories and was a part of three winning relay teams. The junior won the 50 free in the dual meet against Rider with a time of 23.82 - a Rider pool record - then bested that in a tri-meet with Bloomsburg and Shippensburg, finishing at 23.76. Ruffing also finished first in the 100 free (51.84) in the tri-meet and took second in the 200 free in the dual meet against Rider with a time of 2:01.82.

CORVIAS MALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
TYLE WENZEL, BUCKNELL Sr., Telford, Pa.
Wenzel finished as the runner-up in both diving events out of five divers in Saturday's dual meet with Pitt. The senior recorded a score of 295.80 in the three-meter, which was the fourth best mark in Bucknell history. He added another second-place finish with his score of 276.68 in the one-meter dive.

CORVIAS FEMALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
LINDSEY STASZEWSKI, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., South Bend, Ind.
Staszewski placed first in the three-meter dive and finished as runner-up in the one-meter dive during the tri-meet with Drexel and Lafayette. The freshman claimed her second-straight win in the three-meter dive with a score of 242.95 and her score of 242.25 was good for second place in the one-meter dive.

ERIN NABNEY, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Fr., London, England
Nabney helped the Terriers to a first-place finish against UMass in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.87 while earning three individual events wins: 500 free (5:07.79), 200 free (1:52.49), 200 IM (2:05.52).

EMMA LEVENDOSKI, BUCKNELL Sr., Mandeville, La.
Levendoski collected two individual event wins in the Bison's home dual meet with Pitt, placing first in the 100 back out of 12 swimmers (56.67) and the 200 back (2:01.42).

BEN CONO, LOYOLA MARYLAND So., Smithtown, N.Y.
Cono added two individual event wins and swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay during the tri-meet with Drexel and Lafayette. The sophomore took first in both breast events, winning the 100 with a time of 56.24 and the 200 with a time of 2:07.11.

MADDIE WEAVER, BUCKNELL Fr., New Brighton, Pa.
Weaver set a Bucknell record with her second-place finish in the one-meter dive during the dual meet with Pitt. The freshman tallied a score of 298.20 -- 20 points better than the previous record of 276.90 set at the 2014 Patriot League Championship. Her score also qualified her for the NCAA Zones, which surpassed the 265 point standard.
