Patriot League Weekly Awards - 4.13.15 
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for April 6-12 in men and women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, men and women's outdoor track and field and men and women's tennis on Monday.
Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DAN TAYLOR, LEHIGH Sr., A, Calgary, Alberta
Taylor reached 70 points (36 goals, 34 assists) on the season as the Mountain Hawks posted victories over a pair of ranked teams last week. The senior attack scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner with 16 seconds remaining, and added four assists in Lehigh's 16-15 win Tuesday over #14/18 Princeton. Followed up that effort with two goals and five assists on Sunday in the Mountain Hawks 12-11 win at #18/14 Stony Brook.
CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CHRIS FENNELL, NAVY So., D, Milford, N.J.
Fennell led a defensive effort that limited rival Army to its second-lowest point output of the season in the Mids 10-7 win in the annual Star Match. The sophomore helped hold All-American John Glesener, who entered the contest averaging 3.82 points per game, to just a single point. Fennell recorded two of Navy's 10 caused turnovers and picked up five ground balls.
CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
GRANT LIMONE, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., GK, Weston, Conn.
Limone earned his second consecutive Goalkeeper of the Week award and third of the season after stopping nearly 64-percent of the shots on goal as the Greyhounds split games with #3 Maryland and Boston University. The freshman stopped 13 of 24 shots on goal in an 11-10 loss to the Terps on Wednesday, and then finished with 17 saves and a save percentage of .738 in an 8-6 victory at Boston University.

ANTHONY ABBADESSA, COLGATE Fr., A, Phoenix, Ariz.
Abbadessa also picked up his second consecutive Rookie of the Week award and third of the season after sparking the Raiders to a 14-13 win Saturday at Holy Cross. The freshman netted a season-high four goals and added a pair of assists as Colgate clinched a spot in the Patriot League tournament. Abbadessa had a pair of goals in the fourth quarter against the Crusaders, with the final one knotting the match at 13-all with 2:10 remaining.

JOHN CONNORS, NAVY Jr., GK, Bellmore, N.Y.
Connors made nine saves and earned his first career win over rival Army in the Mids 10-7 victory.
CASEY REES, NAVY Fr., M, Sykesville, Md.
Rees matched his season output with three goals in the Mids 10-7 win over rival Army for his first career hat trick.
ERIC JOSEPH, LAFAYETTE So., A, Smithtown, N.Y.
Joseph scored a season-high five goals against Bucknell and finished the week with 10 points as the Leopards split games with NJIT and the Bison.
CASEY EIDENSHINK, LEHIGH Jr., D, Wyncote, Pa.
Eidenshink had an assist and recorded four groundballs and caused five turnovers as the Mountain Hawks beat #14/18 Princeton and #18/14 Stony Brook.
Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNIE THOMAS, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., A, Bel Air, Md.
Thomas had the top point total in the Patriot League this season as she recorded three goals and six assists in a 19-6 win at American on Wednesday. The career-high nine points top two other players who have recorded eight this season, while the six assists are tied for the most by a Patriot League player in 2015. Thomas added two goals in a 9-6 win over Boston University on Saturday as the Greyhounds clinched a quarterfinal bye for the Patriot League Tournament and at least a share of the regular-season title. Thomas has a point in every game this season, and leads the Patriot League while placing third in the nation with 36 assists. She is named Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season and fifth in her career.
CORVIAS MIDFIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LOREN GENERI, NAVY Sr., A, Bayport, N.Y.
Generi totaled three goals, an assist, five ground balls, 11 draw controls and two caused turnovers in an all-around effort in a pair of wins for the Mids last week. She put up a goal, assist, three ground balls, five draw controls and a caused turnover in an 8-3 victory at Lehigh on Wednesday, and tallied two goals, two ground balls, six draw controls and a caused turnover in an 11-6 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday. The two wins set Navy up to play for the top seed in the Patriot League Tournament when it hosts Loyola on Saturday. Generi became the second player in program history and fifth in Patriot League history to reach 200 career goals, and leads the League with 64 points this season. Generi earns her sixth Corvias Patriot League Midfield Player of the Week award this year and 10th in her career, claiming sole possession of the single-season record and matching Lafayette's Ana White (2011-14) for the most all time. Generi also ties former teammate Jasmine DePompeo (2013) and Lehigh's Lauren Dykstra (2011) for the most overall weekly awards of any kind in a season.

ANNIE FOKY, NAVY Sr., GK, Charlottesville, Va.
Foky had a huge effort with a season-high nine saves to lead the Mids to an 8-3 win at Lehigh on Wednesday, then stopped six shots in an 11-6 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday. She added six ground balls in the two contests, with a pair against the Mountain Hawks and four versus the Crusaders. Foky has recorded six saves or more in each of the last three contests. She lowered her League-leading goals against average mark to 6.70 for the season. Foky is named Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and sixth in her career.
CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
HALEY O'HANLON, COLGATE Fr., M, Garden City, N.Y.
O'Hanlon posted three goals, four assists, two ground balls and two draw controls to help Colgate to a pair of wins that put the Raiders into the Patriot League Tournament and kept them in contention for a bye through the quarterfinal round. She posted two goals and two assists with a ground ball as the Raiders posted an 11-7 road win at Boston University on Wednesday, then put up a goal, two assists, a ground ball and two draw controls in a 16-6 victory over Lafayette on Saturday. O'Hanlon has 37 points and is the only freshman in the top 10 in the Patriot League in the category. She is named Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the fourth time, all coming in the last six weeks.

GRETCHEN MAYER, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., D, Arnold, Md.
Mayer recorded six ground balls and eight caused turnovers to help lead a Loyola defense that allowed six goals in each of the team's victories last week.
LAUREN GORAJEK, COLGATE Jr., M, Hightstown, N.J.
Gorajek had six goals in two wins last week, with four in a 16-6 triumph over Lafayette on Saturday.
MEGAN ARK, COLGATE Sr., A, Brighton, N.Y.
Ark had three goals and five assists in a pair of wins for the Raiders last week.
TARYN VanTHOF, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., M, Livonia, N.Y.
VanThof compiled two goals, two assists, four ground balls, three draw controls and a caused turnover in two wins for the Greyhounds.
ALLISON LaBEAU, LEHIGH Sr., A, Penn Valley, Pa.
LaBeau had six goals in two games last week, with four goals and an assist as Lehigh clinched a Patriot League Tournament berth with a 16-6 win at American on Sunday.
LAURA RYAN, HOLY CROSS Sr., M, Stirling, N.J.
Ryan had five goals, five ground balls and three caused turnovers in two games for Holy Cross.
GRETCHEN RICHTER, BUCKNELL Fr., M, Bronxville, N.Y.
Richter totaled five goals, two assists, seven draw controls and three ground balls in two games for the Bison.
Patriot League Baseball Weekly Awards
CORVIAS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JON MAYER, BUCKNELL Jr., C, Dillsburg, Pa.
Mayer had a huge weekend to lead the Bison to a series win over Army as he went 10-for-17 (.588) with a home run, 12 RBIs and three runs scored as Bucknell won three of four contests. Mayer went 10-for-13 after going hitless in his first four at-bats in game one, with his first hit coming on a walk-off single that lifted the Bison to a 2-1 win in 11 innings in that contest. Mayer followed that up by going 3-for-4 with a run and two RBIs in a 10-2 win in the nightcap, and exploded in Sunday's opener by going 4-for-4 with a run scored and seven RBIs in a 14-1 win. The seven-RBI outing was one shy of the school record and only two off the Patriot League single-game mark. Mayer hit Bucknell's first home run since March 17 while going 2-for-4 in the series finale where the Bison fell 10-8. Mayer also caught 35 of 36 innings behind the plate to help a Bucknell pitching staff which allowed just four runs in the first three contests. Mayer is named Corvias Patriot League Player of the Week for the second time this season.
CORVIAS PITCHER OF THE WEEK
ANDREW ANDREYCHIK, BUCKNELL Jr., P, Danville, Pa.
Andreychik allowed two first-inning doubles and did not give up a hit the rest of the way in a seven-inning complete-game win in Bucknell's 14-1 victory over Army on Sunday. He did not walk a batter and struck out eight and retired 16 straight hitters at one point. Andreychik lowered his season ERA to 2.55 and has given up just five earned runs and five walks over his last five starts covering 35 innings pitched. He is named Corvias Patriot League Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season and fifth in his career.

JAMES BLEMING, LEHIGH Fr., IF/OF, Royersford, Pa.
Bleming contributed to all three Lehigh victories as the Mountain Hawks won a series on the road against first-place Holy Cross over the weekend. He was 1-for-1 and laid down a key sacrifice bunt in the 11th inning to help the Mountain Hawks to a 9-8 win in Saturday's opener, and went 2-for-4 with an RBI in an 8-4 victory in the nightcap. He went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI as Lehigh took the series with a 10-9 win in Sunday's opener. Bleming went 4-for-13 (.308) with two runs scored and two RBIs in five games last week, and was 4-for-10 in the series against the Crusaders. He played out of position in left field but made a couple of key defensive plays for the Mountain Hawks.

King allowed one run on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts over 8.2 innings as Holy Cross beat Lehigh 2-1 in Sunday's series finale.
LUKE GILLINGHAM, NAVY Jr., P, Coronado, Calif.
Gillingham allowed a run on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts as he pitched all eight innings in Navy's 2-1 win over Lafayette in Saturday's series opener.
KEVIN BOSWICK, LEHIGH Jr., P, Medford Lakes, N.J.
Boswick threw seven scoreless innings out of the bullpen as Lehigh rallied to win 9-8 in 11 innings at Holy Cross in Saturday's series opener.
ALEX ROBINETT, ARMY Sr., P, Bend, Ore.
Robinett pitched a career-high 10 innings and struck out 11 while allowing just one earned run in a 2-1 loss at Bucknell on Saturday.
TOBY SCHWARTZ, LAFAYETTE Sr., P/1B, Ramsey, N.J.
Schwartz allowed two runs and did not walk a batter while striking out six as he went 10 innings in Lafayette's 3-2, 12-inning loss to Navy on Sunday.
MIKE GARZILLO, LEHIGH Jr., 2B, Wind Gap, Pa.
Garzillo went 10-for-26 (.385) with seven runs scored and seven RBIs in six games last week.
NICK LOVULLO, HOLY CROSS Jr., SS, Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Lovullo was 9-for-19 (.474) with four runs scored and six RBIs in the weekend series against Lehigh.
Patriot League Softball Weekly Awards
CORVIAS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KASEY MCCRAVEY, ARMY Jr., 3B, Scottsdale, Ariz.
McCravey had at least one hit in every game as the Black Knights won four times, including a weekend sweep of defending Patriot League champion and preseason favorite Boston University. The junior finished the week with a .400 batting average (6-for-15) with three extra-bases hits, including a pair of home runs against the Terriers. McCravey scored seven runs and drove in six and her grand slam on Saturday accounted for all of the runs in Army's 4-0 win in the first game against Boston U.

BRIGIT IEUTER, COLGATE Jr., P, Wilmette, Ill.
Ieuter earned her second Pitcher of the Week award after recording her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season during the Raiders weekend sweep of Lafayette. The junior allowed only six hits and issued one walk in 12 innings against the Leopards. Ieuter also contributed at the plate for Colgate with three hits in 10 at-bats and scoring three runs and driving in two.

GLADYS ESPARZA-GALLEGOS, ARMY Fr., INF, Santa Maria, Calif.
Esparza-Gallegos figured prominently in the Black Knights weekend sweep of defending Patriot League champion and preseason favorite Boston University with seven hits in 12 at-bats (.583 BA) against the Terriers. The freshman keyed Army's 13-10 win over Boston U. with four hits, three runs scored and three RBI. Esparza-Gallegos also had two hits, scored twice and knocked in a run in the Black Knights 6-3 win on Sunday in the season finale.

Cox went 4-for-8 with two doubles, a home run, four RBIs and five runs scored while lead the Bison to three non-conference wins.

Nielsen went 2-0 last week, picking up a win in relief against Robert Morris and another in a complete-game performance against Binghamton.
KATIE BUSHEE, COLGATE So., OF, San Marcos, Calif.
Bushee batted .750 (6-for-8), scored three times and delivered three RBI as Colgate swept a weekend series against Lafayette.

Bausher earned a win and a save as the Mountain Hawks won 2-of-3 at Holy Cross.

ANDREW GARCIA-GARRISON, BUCKNELL Sr., Detroit, Mich.
Garcia-Garrison placed sixth in the 1,500-meter run at the Bison Outdoor Classic with an IC4A qualifying time of 3:46.58. He beat the IC4A standard by more than four seconds with the best time in the Patriot League this season. Garcia-Garrison is honored for the first time in the outdoor season after a pair of M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week awards in the indoor campaign.

KATE SCOTT, BUCKNELL So., Newtown, Pa.
Scott placed second in the 5,000-meter run at the Bison Outdoor Classic in a time of 16:52.80, which beat the ECAC standard by nearly 24 seconds. It was the third-fastest time in the event in the Patriot League this season and second all-time at Bucknell. Scott is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks.

ETHAN KNIGHT, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., Mendota Heights, Minn.
Knight won the shot put and placed third in the discus at the Brown Invitational with IC4A qualifying marks in each event. His shot put toss of 16.90 meters tied for the Patriot League lead this season, and the discus toss of 49.48 meters places him in the top five.

COURTNEY AVERY, LEHIGH So., Wynantskill, N.Y.
Avery won the high jump in a dual meet against rival Lafayette with a school-record mark of 1.77 meters. It is the top high jump mark in the Patriot League this season and easily tops the ECAC standard of 1.70 while ranking 15th in the NCAA East Region. Avery continues her outstanding season with her third M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week award of the outdoor campaign after winning a pair during the indoor portion of the year.

JIM BELFATTO, AMERICAN Fr., Broomall, Pa.
Belfatto ran the 1,500-meter at the Mason Spring Invitational in a time of 3:50.66 to eclipse the IC4A standard. He finished 14th against a tough field with the third-fastest 1,500-meter time in the Patriot League this season.

Agege placed third in the triple jump at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a mark of 12.04 meters, narrowly missing the ECAC standard of 12.05. She recorded the top triple jump in the Patriot League this season.

Breen matched the best shot put mark in the Patriot League this season with an IC4A qualifying toss of 16.90 meters at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

Beuchamp posted IC4A qualifying marks in the discus and hammer at two different events last week.
BRITTANY POWELL, LAFAYETTE Sr., Wilmington, Del.
Powell recorded the top long jump in the Patriot League this season with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.86 meters at the Rider Invitational.
BRIANNA TABIN, HOLY CROSS Sr., South Hadley, Mass.
Tabin won the 100-meter dash at the Minuteman Invitational in an ECAC qualifying time of 11.95 seconds.
DEVIN SMITH, LAFAYETTE Jr., Andover, N.J.
Smith won a pair of 400-meter races last week, with her ECAC qualifying and school-record time of 55.66 at the Bison Outdoor Classic ranking first in the Patriot League this season.
ALEX OLSON, ARMY Fr., Bloomington, Ind.
Olson won the high jump with an IC4A qualifying mark of 2.04 meters at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
Patriot League Tennis Weekly Awards
CORVIAS MALE TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
NICK BYBEL, BUCKNELL Jr., Lancaster, Pa.
Bybel earned his third weekly honor of the season with a perfect slate last week as the Bison recorded Patriot League wins over Lehigh and Loyola Maryland. The junior posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Lehigh's Ben Gilman, a first team All-Patriot League selection in 2014. Bybel also won in straight sets against the Greyhounds and teamed with Bryan Adams for victories at No. 1 doubles.
CORVIAS FEMALE TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CAROLYN PITMAN, ARMY Jr., West Chester, Ohio
Pitman handed reigning Patriot League Women's Tennis Player of the Year, Boston University's Johanna Hyoty, her first League loss of the season on Saturday with a 7-5, 6-3 straight-set victory. The junior also teamed with Julian Mok to defeat Lauren Davis and Madison Craft at No. 2 doubles. Pitman is currently riding a five match winning streak in singles play.

Riechmann picked up a win at No.3 singles over Blake Daniel, a 2014 All-Patriot League second team perfomer, in Army's 4-0 win over rival Navy.

Kwok was 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 1-1 at No. 1 doubles as the Terriers swept matches with Merrimack and UConn.
MARIA CIOFFI, BUCKNELL Jr., Williamsport, Pa.
Cioffi was 2-0 at No. 1 singles, including a three-set win over Navy's Sam Droop, and also 1-1 at No. 1 doubles.
JACLYN CARROLL, HOLY CROSS Jr., Tewksbury, Mass.
Carroll was 2-0 at No. 2 singles and teamed with Taylor Stathis for a 2-0 mark at No. 1 doubles as the Crusaders defeated Johnson & Wales and St. Anselm.
CONNOR PIETRAK, LOYOLA MARYLAND So., Newtown, Pa.
Pietrak was 3-0 at No. 2/3 singles for the Greyhounds against Bucknell, Rider and Villanova.
KRISTINE ROJO, NAVY Fr., Audubon, Pa.
Rojo was a perfect 4-0 playing No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles as the Mids posted Patriot League wins over Bucknell and Loyola.
