Patriot League Weekly Awards - 4.20.15 
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for April 13-19 in men and women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, men and women's outdoor track and field and women's tennis on Monday.
Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RYAN WALSH, COLGATE Sr., A, Wantagh, N.Y.
Walsh matched season-highs with four goals and six points as Colgate ended the Patriot League regular season with an 8-5 win at Army West Point. The senior scored twice in the first half an assisted on another goal as the Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead. After the Black Knights had cut the lead in half, he added another score for his third hat trick of the season.
CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BEN KELLAR, BUCKNELL Sr., D, Glyndon, Md.
Kellar led a strong defensive effort in a 10-9 overtime win over No. 16 Loyola Maryland, which helped the Bison move up to the No. 3 seed for the Patriot League Tournament. Kellar came up with the biggest defensive play of the game early in overtime, when he stripped a Greyhounds midfielder which set the stage for Sean Doyle's OT winner on the ensuing offensive possession.
CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
BRANDON BURKE, COLGATE So., GK, Potomac, Md.
Burke picked up his seventh victory in 10 decisions with a nine-save performance Friday night in an 8-5 win at Army. The sophomore made five of his nine saves in the first half as the Raiders blanked the Black Knights 4-0. Burke lowered his season goals-against average to 8.35 and raised his save percentage to .525 to earn his third Goalkeeper of the Week award of the season.
CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
WILL SANDS, BUCKNELL Fr., A, Locust Valley, N.Y.
Sands notched his third straight hat trick and the fifth of his rookie season in Bucknell's big 10-9 overtime win over No. 16 Loyola. The freshman scored two of Bucknell's five fourth-quarter goals to help erase a 7-4 deficit at the start of the period. None were bigger than his tying goal with just 0:24 left in regulation that forced overtime.

DAVID DICKSON, BUCKNELL Sr., A, Greenwich, Conn.
Dickson had a hand in five of the Bison' 10 goals with one goal and four assists in a 10-9 overtime victory over Loyola Maryland.
SAM GRINBERG, BUCKNELL Sr., GK, New York, N.Y.
Grinberg faced 33 shots and made 10 saves in Bucknell's come-from-behind 10-9 victory over Loyola Maryland.
MATT YEAGER, COLGATE Sr., D, Westport, Conn.
Yeager anchored Colgate's zone defense and help limit Army's John Glesener to just a pair of second half assists in a 8-5 victory.
REID WEBER, LEHIGH Jr., A, Oreland, Pa.
Weber scored four of the Mountain Hawks six second half goals, including the game-winner with 1:27 left, in 11-10 win over Lafayette.

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KARA BURKE, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., A, Timonium, Md.
Burke led Loyola to another unbeaten Patriot League mark with four goals and an assist in a 14-4 win at Navy on Saturday. The Greyhounds won the outright regular-season title and earned the top seed in the Patriot League Tournament, and also set the record for consecutive Patriot League victories at 16 over their first two seasons. Two of her goals came in a 9-0 run as Loyola built a 12-1 lead just six minutes into the second half. Burke notched her 10th hat trick of the year and sixth consecutive, and recorded at least five points for the fifth game in a row. Burke is named Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
CORVIAS MIDFIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TARYN VanTHOF, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., M, Livonia, N.Y.
VanThof had a stellar all-around game as she recorded two goals, an assist, a ground ball and five draw controls in Loyola's 14-4 victory over Navy. She also helped a defensive unit that held the Mids to their second-fewest goals of the season, with just one in the first half and a scoreless span of 27:58. VanThof scored all of her points during Loyola's decisive 9-0 run that built a 12-1 lead. She is named Corvias Patriot League Midfield Player of the Week for the second time this season and fourth in her career.

MOLLY WOLF, LOYOLA MARYLAND Jr., GK, Baltimore, Md.
Wolf had a huge effort against Navy as she registered a season-high 12 saves to help the Greyhounds to the 14-4 win. She made four saves to help Loyola take an early 3-0 lead, and then kept Navy off the board for nearly 28 minutes to allow the Greyhounds to build the 12-1 advantage. Wolf made five first-half saves while allowing just one goal and stopped seven shots in the second half to prevent any comeback effort. Wolf recorded double-figure saves for the 12th time in her career and fifth this season. Wolf led the Patriot League with a 5.60 goals against average and .579 save percentage in League contests. She is named Corvias Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and fifth in her career.
CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
HALEY O'HANLON, COLGATE Fr., M, Garden City, N.Y.
O'Hanlon concluded an impressive rookie regular season by totaling eight goals, an assist, two ground balls and five draw controls in a pair of wins for the Raiders last week. She had two goals, an assist and three draw controls in a 14-5 win over Binghamton on Tuesday, then matched a season high and the top mark for any Patriot League player this year with six goals in a 15-7 victory against American on Saturday. The win clinched a quarterfinal bye and the #2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament for the Raiders. O'Hanlon led the team and ranked in the top 10 in the Patriot League this season in goals (31), assists (15) and points (46). She is named Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the fifth time, tying the League record previously set by Colgate's Katie McVeigh (2003) and Lehigh's Lauren Dykstra (2008). The five awards have come in the past seven weeks.

Kreitler tallied three goals and nine draw controls in Colgate's 15-7 win over American on Saturday.
JILL HORKA, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., M, Westborough, Mass.
Horka had four goals, three caused turnovers and six draw controls in two games last week.
LAUREN BEAUSOLEIL, LEHIGH So., M, Penn Valley, Pa.
Beausoleil had two goals, two ground balls and five draw controls in Lehigh's 11-8 win over Holy Cross.

CORVIAS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CAMPBELL LIPE, LAFAYETTE Jr., DH/1B, Winnetka, Ill.
Lipe went 7-for-13 with four doubles, four runs scored and three RBIs as Lafayette won three of four games at Bucknell over the weekend to move one win away from clinching a berth in the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 2012. He posted two hits in three of the four contests, beginning with a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored in a 4-2 victory in the opener. After recording a pair of doubles in a 3-1 loss in Saturday's nightcap, Lipe went 3-for-6 with two doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs to lead Lafayette to a sweep on Sunday. He had two runs scored and two RBIs as the Leopards won the series finale by a 7-4 score. Lipe has a 13-game hitting streak, and batted .421 (8-for-19) in five games overall last week.
CORVIAS PITCHER OF THE WEEK
LUKE GILLINGHAM, NAVY Jr., P, Coronado, Calif.
Gillingham sets a single-season record with his fifth Corvias Patriot League Pitcher of the Week award of the year after another dominant outing in a 4-0 win over Lehigh on Saturday. He went the full seven innings and allowed just one hit and two walks with 11 strikeouts to lead Navy to the victory. Gillingham threw his third shutout and fifth complete game of the season and lowered his ERA for the year to 0.98. It was his fifth double-figure strikeout game of the season and boosted his Division I-leading total to 103 Ks for the year.
CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
STEPHEN BORN, NAVY Fr., OF, Strafford, Pa.
Born had a big week for the Mids as he batted .579 (11-for-19) with four extra-base hits, eight runs scored and eight RBIs in five contests. Born went 4-for-4 with two runs scored, five RBIs and a triple in Navy's 15-7 win over Delaware State on Wednesday, and kept the hot-hitting going in Saturday's sweep of Lehigh by going 6-for-9 with his first career home run, two doubles, five runs scored and three RBIs. He reached base in the final two games of the series on Sunday to extend his streak to 13 games.

KEVIN BOSWICK, LEHIGH Jr., P, Medford Lakes, N.J.
Boswick tossed 7.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen, allowing three hits and striking out nine, to push Lehigh to a 5-4 win in the series finale against Navy on Sunday.
JUSTIN FINAN, HOLY CROSS So., P, Barrington, R.I.
Finan threw a seven-inning shutout with just three hits allowed as Holy Cross beat Army 3-0 to begin a sweep of Sunday's doubleheader.
TOBY SCHWARTZ, LAFAYETTE Sr., P/1B, Ramsey, N.J.
Schwartz gave up two runs, one earned, on three hits in a seven-inning complete game as Lafayette began a sweep of Sunday's doubleheader with Bucknell with a 3-2 victory.
ANTHONY CRITELLI, HOLY CROSS So., 1B, Holmdel, N.J.
Critelli went 10-for-20 (.500) with three doubles, three runs scored and seven RBIs in a 5-1 week for the Crusaders.
SEAN TRENT, NAVY Jr., OF, Sorrento, Fla.
Trent batted 9-for-21 (.429) with four extra-base hits, six runs scored and seven RBIs in five games last week, and leads the nation with 74 hits this season.
JACEN NALESNIK, LEHIGH So., OF, Lehighton, Pa.
Nalesnik went 7-for-18 (.389) with his first career home run, three doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs in six games last week.
Patriot League Softball Weekly Awards
CORVIAS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
EMILY FELBAUM, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., 2B, Grafton, Mass.
Felbaum slugged two home runs and drove in eight runs as the Terriers swept a weekend series at Lafayette. The senior hit a grand slam in Boston University's 12-2 win over the Leopards in game one on Saturday and broke a 0-0 deadlock in game two with a solo shot in the fifth inning of a 3-2 victory. Felbaum finished the week with a .353 batting average and also scored five runs in the Terriers four wins.
CORVIAS PITCHER OF THE WEEK
DANA NIELSEN, BUCKNELL Jr., P, Pequannock, N.J.
Nielsen helped Bucknell extend its winning streak to its longest in 22 years by posting a perfect 4-0 record with two wins each against Army West Point and Lafayette. The junior gave up only three earned runs in 22.2 innings pitched for a 0.93 ERA and also posted a pair of shutouts against the Pards. Nielsen went 4.2 innings in Sunday's 10-1 win over the Black Knights for Bucknell's ninth-straight victory.

MEGHAN KOVAC, BUCKNELL Fr., INF, Warren, N.J.
Kovac was 5-for-16 with five RBI and scored a run as the Bison swept a pair of series against Lafayette and Army West Point last week. The freshman delivered a run scoring double in the first inning and added a two-run single in the third in Bucknell's 6-1 win over the Leopards on Wednesday. Kovac gave Bucknell a 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the fourth inning of a 3-0 win over Lafayette the following day.

MAKINNA AKERS, BOSTON UNIVERSITY So., P, Roseburg, Ore.
Akers appeared in five games, pitching to a 1.94 ERA and picking up two wins and a save during the Terriers 4-1 week.
JACEE ALMOND, BUCKNELL So., INF, Concord, Calif.
Almond was 11-for-23 (.478 BA) with a home run and six RBI in six wins against Army West Point and Lafayette.
EMILY BAUSHER, LEHIGH Sr., P, New Egypt, N.J.
Bausher picked up two wins and had a 1.71 ERA in wins over Boston U. and UMBC. The senior threw a four-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over the Terriers.
MORGAN DECKER, LEHIGH Jr., 3B, Jamison, Pa.
Decker hit safely in three of four games with three doubles and five RBI as the Mountain Hawks completed a 4-0 week.

CHRISTIAN LUPICA, BUCKNELL Sr., Newtown, Pa.
Lupica won the 110-meter hurdles at the Bucknell Team Challenge with an IC4A qualifying time of 13.87, setting a Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium record in the race. It is the fastest time in the Patriot League this season by more than half a second, and places Lupica 10th in the event in the NCAA East Region. He is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time in the outdoor season, and garners an award for the third straight season.

BRIANNA TABIN, HOLY CROSS Sr., South Hadley, Mass.
Tabin won both the 100-meter and 200-meter races at the Holy Cross Invitational over the weekend, with her time of 11.86 in the former eclipsing the ECAC qualifying standard. The time also places her in the top 100 in the NCAA East Region in the 100-meter dash. Tabin helped Holy Cross to the victory in the seven-team event.

LEE BARES, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., Lakeville, Minn.
Bares continues his outstanding campaign as he posted an Army West Point record of 5.31 meters to win the pole vault at the Larry Ellis Invitational. The mark shatters the school's previous pole vault record of 5.15 which was set in 1997. Bares earned his third first-place finish in the event this season and recorded the seventh-best mark in the NCAA East Region while easily surpassing the IC4A standard. He is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in the outdoor season after earning the Rookie honor twice.

BRIYAH BROWN, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., New Rochelle, N.Y.
Brown placed second in the shot put at the Larry Ellis Invitational with an ECAC qualifying mark of 14.71 meters. The toss leads the Patriot League this season and places 39th in the NCAA East Region. Brown is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in the outdoor season after previously earning a Rookie of the Week honor. She has won both awards four times overall this season after earning three of each during the indoor campaign.

JOHN CAMPBELL, NAVY Fr., Amarillo, Texas
Campbell won the discus at the Georgia Tech Invite with a mark of 52.83 meters, which sets an IC4A qualifying mark and ranks 37th in the NCAA East Region this year. He also recorded an IC4A standard in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.99 meters. Campbell earns his first M-F Athlete Patriot League Male Rookie of the Week award in the outdoor campaign after claiming a pair in the indoor season.

ASHANTI CURRY, NAVY Fr., Jacksonville, N.C.
Curry won the shot put at the James Madison Invitational with a mark of 14.28 meters. Her ECAC qualifying toss ranks second in the Patriot League this season and also stands 58th in the NCAA East Region. Curry broke the James Madison stadium shot put record by 0.2 meters.

LADDIE TREES, BUCKNELL Sr., Washington, D.C.
Trees won the javelin with an IC4A qualifying toss of 68.49 meters at the Bucknell Team Challenge. He stands sixth in the NCAA East Region in the event with his top mark of 71.02 meters.
JAY STELL, NAVY Jr., Carlsbad, N.M.
Stell finished second in the javelin at the Georgia Tech Invitational with an IC4A qualifying mark of 67.95 meters, which places 17th in the NCAA East Region.
RYAN MAHALSKY, LEHIGH Sr., Hillsborough, N.J.
Mahalsky won the 5,000-meter run at the Larry Ellis Invitational with an IC4A qualifying time of 14:01.08, placing him in the top 20 in the NCAA East Region.
AUSTIN BATISTE, NAVY Jr., Long Beach, Calif.
Batiste placed fifth in the 400-meter dash at the Georgia Tech Invitational with an IC4A qualifying time of 47.14, which ranks 37th in the NCAA East Region this year.
BENJAMIN BEAUCHAMP, LEHIGH Sr., Spencer, N.Y.
Beuchamp posted IC4A qualifying marks in both the discus and hammer at the Larry Ellis Invitational.
COURTNEY AVERY, LEHIGH So., Wynantskill, N.Y.
Avery tied for second in the high jump at the Larry Ellis Invitational with another ECAC qualifying mark of 1.75 meters.
MEGHAN HARVEY, NAVY Jr., Nottingham, Pa.
Harvey posted an ECAC qualifying time of 4:31.04 in the 1,500-meter dash at the Larry Ellis Invitational, giving her the top time in the Patriot League this season.
SOPHIA NNADI, BUCKNELL Jr., Columbus, Ohio
Nnadi won the discus, took second in the shot put and third in the hammer at the Bucknell Team Challenge, and her shot put and discus marks both eclipsed the ECAC standard.

CORVIAS FEMALE TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MARIA CIOFFI, BUCKNELL Jr., Williamsport, Pa.
Cioffi finished the Patriot League regular season with a perfect 6-0 singles record against League opponents following wins over Lehigh's Christina Auyeung and Army West Point's Carolyn Pitman at No. 1 singles last week. The junior also teamed with Alyssa McAndrew for three victories at No. 1 doubles against the Black Knight's, Mountain Hawks and IUP.

NANCY PORTER, ARMY WEST POINT So., Amarillo, Texas
Porter picked up a pair of wins against Bucknell and Lehigh at No. 5 singles for the Black Knights and also teamed with Elle Taylor for a victory at No. 3 doubles versus the Mountain Hawks.
