Patriot League Weekly Awards - 4.27.15 
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for April 20-26 in baseball, softball and men and women's outdoor track and field on Monday.
Patriot League Baseball Weekly Awards
CORVIAS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANTHONY GINGERELLI, BUCKNELL Sr., OF, Worcester, Mass.
Gingerelli had a big week for the Bison as he went 13-for-29 (.448) with three home runs, seven doubles, nine RBIs and six runs scored to lead the team to a 5-2 record in seven games. Gingerelli went 7-for-12 with three home runs, three doubles, six RBIs and four runs scored as the Bison split a doubleheader with St. Bonaventure on Tuesday and beat Towson on Wednesday. He continued the hot hitting into the weekend series with Holy Cross by going 6-for-17 with four doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs to help the Bison win three of four games. Gingerelli was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and three RBIs as Bucknell won the series finale 5-1 to prevent the Crusaders from earning the top seed in the Patriot League Tournament. Gingerelli earns the Corvias Patriot League Player of the Week award for the first time this season and second in his career.
CORVIAS PITCHER OF THE WEEK
TOBY SCHWARTZ, LAFAYETTE Sr., SP/1B, Ramsey, N.J.
Schwartz was outstanding in Lafayette's 3-0 win over rival Lehigh in Sunday's opener as he went the full seven innings and allowed just four hits and one walk while striking out nine in the contest. He had at least one strikeout in five of his frames, and stranded runners on base with an inning-ending strikeout four times with two instances where runners were in scoring position. Schwartz earned his third victory and threw his second complete game, not including a 10-inning performance against Navy earlier in the season. He also batted .300 in four games last week while drawing five walks.
CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MATT BALL, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., P, Charlotte, N.C.
Ball tossed 5.2 innings and allowed just one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts in Army West Point's 10-0 win over NYIT on Wednesday. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and the only hit he allowed was a bouncer over the third baseman's head. Ball retired the first nine hitters of the game before a leadoff walk in the fourth inning.

JACEN NALESNIK, LEHIGH So., OF, Lehighton, Pa.
Nalesnik went 10-for-20 (.500) with a home run, double, five runs scored and three RBIs in five games.
DONNY MURRAY, HOLY CROSS Sr., P, Walpole, Mass.
Murray allowed just four hits with no walks and six strikeouts in a seven-inning shutout as Holy Cross opened its weekend series with a 4-0 win over Bucknell on Saturday.
STEPHEN MOORE, NAVY Sr., P, Marietta, Ga.
Moore gave up five hits and two walks while striking out three in a seven-inning shutout as Navy beat Army West Point 3-0 in Sunday's opener for a win that resulted in the outright Patriot League regular-season title.
ANDREW ANDREYCHIK, BUCKNELL So., P, Danville, Pa.
Andreychik allowed five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in a seven-inning shutout as Bucknell beat Holy Cross 3-0 in Sunday's opener.
KEVIN BOSWICK, LEHIGH Jr., P, Medford Lakes, N.J.
Boswick picked up the save in both of Lehigh's wins over Lafayette on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks won three of four games to earn the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament.
Patriot League Softball Weekly Awards
CORVIAS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KRISTEN ZAHN, BUCKNELL Sr., OF, Readington, N.J.
Zahn had nine hits in 10 at-bats (.900 BA) and drove in four runs as the Bison took 2-of-3 games from Holy Cross to clinch a berth in the Patriot League Tournament. The senior outfielder was 4-for-4 in the opening game against the Crusaders with three RBI and a stolen base in a 5-2 victory. Zahn leads Bucknell with a .385 batting average and her 50 RBI lead the Patriot League and are a single-season program record.

EMILY BAUSHER, LEHIGH Sr., P, New Egypt, N.J.
Bausher threw her eighth complete-game shutout of the season, a 2-hitter in a 3-0 win over Army West Point, as the Mountain Hawks clinched the Patriot League regular season championship and top seed for the postseason tournament. The senior finished the week with two wins, 25 strikeouts and a 0.74 ERA while holding opponents to a .143 batting average. Tied Lehigh's Lisa Sweeney ('06) with six Patriot League Pitcher of the Week awards in a single season.
CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
JILEE SCHANDA, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Fr., DP/INF, Fresno, Calif.
Schanda was 4-for-11 (.364 BA) with five runs scored, two stolen bases and seven RBI to help Boston U. extend its winning streak to seven with four victories last week. The freshman slugged a grand slam to power the Terriers to a 6-3 win over Colgate on Saturday and reached base in all three plate appearances in a 10-6 win over Massachusetts.

MAKINNA AKERS, BOSTON UNIVERSITY So., P, Roseburg, Ore.
Akers had a 2.85 ERA in four appearances and earned a pair of victories in the Terriers weekend sweep of Colgate.
BRITTANY YOUNAN, BOSTON UNIVERSITY So., SS, Chico, Calif.
Younan went 6-for-14 (.429 BA), stole two bases and drove in five runs in a win over UMass and a weekend sweep of Colgate.
AMANDA FAZIO, BUCKNELL Jr., P, Chatham, N.J.
Fazio pitched a complete game shutout in a 3-0 win over Holy Cross, striking out six and walking none.
MORGAN DECKER, LEHIGH Jr., 3B, Jamison, Pa.
Decker went 5-for-10 (.500 BA), scoring three runs and driving in six over four games. Hit the first home run at Lehigh's new Leadership Park in a 7-1 win over Villanova.

M-F ATHLETIC PATRIOT LEAGUE MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ANDREW GARCIA-GARRISON, BUCKNELL Sr., Detroit, Mich.
Garcia-Garrison was the only collegiate competitor in the Olympic Development mile run at the Penn Relays, and turned in a sixth-place finish in the field of 15 with an IC4A qualifying and school-record time of 4:02.72. He now owns both the indoor and outdoor mile run record at Bucknell. Garcia-Garrison earns his second M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week award in the outdoor season after a pair in the indoor campaign.
M-F ATHLETIC PATRIOT LEAGUE FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ANDREA BOURGAL, BUCKNELL Jr., Massapequa Park, N.Y.
Bourgal won the 800-meter run at the Bloomsburg Maroon and Gold Meet with a time of 2:16.67, less than six seconds from meeting the ECAC standard. Her time ranks in the top 15 in the Patriot League this season.

JAY STELL, NAVY Jr., Carlsbad, N.M.
Stell placed fifth in the javelin at the Penn Relays with a mark of 70.06 meters, which easily beat the IC4A standard of 58.70. Stell reached a season high in the event which is less than a meter away from the best mark in the Patriot League and in the top 10 of the NCAA East Region. Stell earns the fifth M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Field Athlete of the Week award of his career, and second this season.

STEPHANIE EASSE, BUCKNELL So., Wayne, N.J.
Easse won the discus at the Bloomsburg Maroon and Gold Meet with an ECAC qualifying toss of 44.09 meters. The mark stands second in the Patriot League this season. She also competed in the shot put with a mark of 11.53 meters.

LEE BARES, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., Lakeville, Minn.
Bares placed in a tie for sixth in the pole vault at the Penn Relays with a mark of 5.05 meters. He continued to surpass the IC4A standard of 4.85 meters in an event where his top mark of 5.31 meters stands in the top 10 of the NCAA East Region. Bares is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Rookie of the Week for the third time to go with last week's honor for Male Field Athlete.

BRIYAH BROWN, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., New Rochelle, N.Y.
Brown came in fifth place in the shot put at the Penn Relays with a toss of 14.37 meters, once again easily eclipsing the ECAC standard of 13.60. She has finished in the top five in the event in all 11 of her collegiate competitions over the indoor and outdoor season. Brown holds the top shot put mark in the Patriot League at 14.71 meters. She earns her second M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week award in the outdoor season after claiming the honor three times in the indoor campaign.

JOHN CAMPBELL, NAVY Fr., Amarillo, Texas
Campbell placed ninth in the discus at the Penn Relays with an IC4A qualifying mark of 52.16 meters.
JOSEPH BREEN, BUCKNELL So., Northborough, Mass.
Breen won both the shot put (16.41m) and discus (48.78m) with IC4A qualifying tosses at the Bloomsburg Maroon and Gold Meet.
BENJAMIN BEAUCHAMP, LEHIGH Sr., Spencer, N.Y.
Beuchamp posted IC4A qualifying marks in the discus at both the Penn Relays and Lehigh Games, and added an IC4A mark in the hammer at the home event.
COURTNEY AVERY, LEHIGH So., Wynantskill, N.Y.
Avery won the high jump at the Lehigh Games with an ECAC qualifying mark of 1.70 meters.
CLAIRE MURPHY, LAFAYETTE Sr., Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Murphy won the pole vault at the Lehigh Games with an ECAC qualifying mark of 3.65 meters.
