CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Aug. 24-30 in men and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball on Monday.

Corvias Patriot League Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
FELIX DE BONA, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., F, Somerville, Mass.
In the 2-1 overtime season-opening win over Fordham, De Bona played a crucial role in helping the Terriers rally from a late deficit to defeat the defending Atlantic 10 champions on the road by tallying a goal and assist. The junior scored in the 83rd minute as he drove a penalty kick toward the upper left corner past the diving keeper to send the game to overtime. De Bona then set up the game-winning goal for the victory and his first career three-point performance.

CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DEREK VOGEL, NAVY Sr., D, Long Beach, Calif.
Playing the full 90 minutes in the season opener at West Virginia, Vogel anchored the back line and helped the Mids post a 1-0 shutout over the Mountaineers. Against No. 23 Penn State, the senior team captain and preseason All-Patriot League honoree scored the equalizer in the 69th minute for the 1-1 draw. Vogel payed the full 120 minutes as the team did not allow a goal during play. (Penn State scored on a PK).

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
JACKSON MORGAN, NAVY Sr., GK, Brecksville, Ohio
Morgan helped the Mids to a 1-0-1 record with a strong performance in the net during the opening weekend on the road against West Virginia and No. 23 Penn State. In the season opener against the Mountaineers, the senior made four saves en route to a 1-0 shutout performance. He then followed with three more saves against No. 23 Penn State, allowing the only goal on a penalty kick.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
T.J. BUTZKE, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Fr., F, Holbrook, N.Y.
Beginning the 2015 campaign against defending Atlantic 10 champion Fordham, Butzke's first goal of his collegiate career was also the season-opener's game-winning goal. The rookie scored in the 95th minute to give the Terriers a 2-1 victory over the Rams and became the first Boston University freshman since 2005 to score a goal in the season opener.

HONORABLE MENTION

MIKE LANSING, BUCKNELL Sr., GK, Randolph, N.J.
Making his 2015 season debut, Lansing finished with nine saves in a 1-0 overtime loss to No. 15 Syracuse, including a spectacular save made in the first minute of OT.

DALE LUDWIG, AMERICAN Jr., M, Palmyra, Va.
Ludwig was named to the MVP of the Kuykenstrong D.C. College Cup and was also named to the All-Tournament team after helping his team to a pair of victories. The junior collected an assist in the 2-1 win over George Washington and a recorded a goal in the 3-1 victory over George Mason.

MICHAEL CHERRY, AMERICAN Jr., D, Fairfax, Va.
Cherry was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Kuykenstrong D.C. College Cup after helping the Eagles to a 2-0 weekend and scoring a goal in the 3-1 victory over George Mason.

CHRIS BRITT, ARMY WEST POINT Sr., GK, Mission Viejo, Calif.
Making his first career appearance in goal for the Black Knights, Britt registered eight saves in a 1-0 (2OT) loss at Air Force.

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MELISSA LYNSKEY, LAFAYETTE Jr., F, Cranberry Township, Pa.
Lynskey helped the Leopards to a 5-0 victory over Saint Peter's, scoring three goals during the contest with the Peacocks. Starting just her second career game at forward, the junior's hat trick is the first for a Lafayette player since 2002 when Emily Myers put up three in a 5-1 win against Saint Peter's. Lynskey now has a total of four goals in two games this season.

CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA RIPORTI, LEHIGH So., D, Scotch Plains, N.J.
After a 2-1 loss to Marist, the Mountain Hawks bounced back against Binghamton with a 4-0 shutout as the defense allowed just three shots to the Bearcats. Riporti capped off her defensive efforts with her first goal of her career against Binghamton, scoring just 1:50 into the game. The sophomore has now started all three games so far this season.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
ANI NAHAPETIAN, LEHIGH Sr., GK, Pleasanton, Calif.
Nahapetian continued her solid play in goal as she helped Lehigh to a 1-1 weekend, picking up the ninth shutout of her career. In the 2-1 loss to Marist, the senior allowed two goals and collected five saves, and she then tallied three saves in the shutout over Binghamton.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
YARI BRADFIELD, AMERICAN Fr., M, Hialeah, Fla.
Bradfield collected a point in each game this weekend as the Eagles went 1-1. The rookie scored a goal in the first game of the weekend against Mount St. Mary's, a 2-1 win, to tie the game with 4:21 left in regulation. In the 2-1 loss to UMBC, Bradfield notched an assist on American's lone score of the game.

HONORABLE MENTION

SAMANTHA SULLENGER, ARMY WEST POINT Fr., M, Gaithersburg, Md.
After Youngstown State tied the game at 1-1 in the 79th minute, Sullenger scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 83rd minute for a 2-1 victory over YSU.

KELLY DONOVAN, AMERICAN Sr., F, Fairfax, Va.
Donovan scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 win over Mount St. Mary's for the Eagles' first victory of the season. The senior also scored a goal in a 2-1 loss to UMBC.

MEGHAN HEGARTY, NAVY So., M, Richmond, Va.
Hegarty scored the game-winning goal against VMI in the 84th minute to secure a 2-1 victory for the Mids.

OLIVIA HEITZ, LAFAYETTE So., D, Mill Valley, Calif.
Heitz collected an assist on the first goal of the 5-0 victory over Saint Peter's. The sophomore contributed to a defense that has given up just four shots on the year.

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HESTER VAN DER LAAN, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., M, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Van der Laan led the Terriers to a 4-3 win over New Hampshire in the season opener on Friday by tallying a goal and an assist in the contest. She scored the first goal of the game less than 10 minutes in for a 1-0 lead, then assisted on Sofi Laurito's game-winner in the 69th minute as BU scored late to earn the victory.

CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HANNAH MILLEN, LAFAYETTE Sr., D, Whitehall, Pa.
Millen scored Lafayette's final goal late in the first half and helped lead a defense that allowed six shots on goal in a 3-2 victory over Ball State to open the season at home on Sunday. Millen scored on a deflection off a corner to give Lafayette a 3-1 lead in the 35th minute, and helped her team maintain that advantage until Ball State got within one with under a minute to play.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
KATE McBEATH, AMERICAN Sr., GK, Barhamsville, Va.
McBeath was solid in goal in both of American's contests to open the season, including a 3-2 victory at No. 16 Old Dominion on Sunday. She made eight saves in the game and kept ODU off the board for the final 27 minutes as the Eagles scored the last two goals to rally for the win. McBeath helped the Eagles' defense fend off 14 penalty corners and 22 overall shots in the game. She also made seven saves as the Eagles fell 2-1 in overtime at Richmond in the season opener on Friday. McBeath is named the Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time after earning a pair of honors last season.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
EMILY LOPRETE, HOLY CROSS Fr. M/D, Watertown, Mass.
Loprete tallied two goals in her collegiate debut to lead Holy Cross to a 3-1 win at home against Siena on Friday. She tied the score in the 13th minute, then provided some insurance by notching a goal in the 62nd minute to complete the 3-1 win. Loprete was the only Patriot Leaguer to notch a multi-goal game on the season's opening weekend.

NICOLE RUPNIK, BUCKNELL Fr., F, Camp Hill, Pa.
Rupnik scored in the 14th minute as Bucknell went on to beat Monmouth 2-1 on Sunday.

AMANDA MAGADAN, LAFAYETTE Jr., F, Randolph, N.J.
Magadan scored the game-winning goal in Lafayette's 3-2 victory over Ball State on Sunday.

JULIA WARD, LEHIGH Jr., GK, Belfast, Maine
Ward totaled 17 saves as Lehigh split a pair of games last week, with 12 in a 3-0 loss to Rider on Friday and five in a 3-1 win over Davidson on Sunday.

Molten Patriot League Volleyball Weekly Awards

MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KRISTYNA LINDOVSKA, AMERICAN Sr., OPP, Ostrava, Czech Republic
Lindovska was named the Most Valuable Player of the D.C. Volleyball Challenge after leading the Eagles to wins over Georgetown (3-1), Howard (3-0) and George Mason (3-0). The senior collected a pair of double-doubles with 13 kills-12 digs against Georgetown and 11 kills-11 digs against George Mason. In a hard-fought 3-1 loss to No. 4 Florida, Lindovska totaled seven kills and three blocks. She finished the first weekend of the regular season with 2.57 kills per set, 2.36 digs per set, 0.86 blocks per set and a .292 hitting percentage.

MOLTEN ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
CARMEN UNZUE, AMERICAN Fr., MB, Madrid, Spain
Unzue was named to the D.C. Volleyball Challenge All-Tournament Team after helping the Eagles to wins over Georgetown (3-1), Howard (3-0) and George Mason (3-0). The rookie hit .500 in her collegiate debut with seven kills on 14 attempts to go with four blocks against Howard. Unzue finished the opening weekend with a .340 hitting percentage, 1.43 k/s, and 0.86 blocks/s.

HONORABLE MENTION

CAROLYN BOCKRATH, ARMY WEST POINT So., MB, Newport Beach, Calif.
Bockrath was named to the Arkansas Invitational All-Tournament Team after leading the Black Knights in kills for all three matches, notching a career-high 28 in a 3-1 victory over McNeese State.

HALEY PUDDY, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., MB, Dallas, Texas
Puddy recorded 11 kills in her collegiate debut against UMBC, and had four blocks and 10 more kills against host Robert Morris. She finished the tournament hitting .328 with 2.64 k/s, and 1 block/s and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

MANDY SIFFERLEN, HOLY CROSS, Jr., OH, Sudbury, Mass.
Sifferlen recorded a total of 55 kills across three matches, with 21 in a 3-2 loss to Iona and 20 in a 3-2 loss to Quinnipiac. The junior collected her first double-double with 14 kills-10 digs against Bryant and was named to the Hampton Inn-vitational All-Tournament team.
