Patriot League Announces 2017 Women’s Soccer Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Patriot League women’s soccer teams combined to place 183 student-athletes on the sport’s Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the fall semester.

Loyola Maryland lead the honor roll with 24 student-athletes.
 
The Greyhounds placed 24 student-athletes on their list with Lehigh coming a close second with 23. The Greyhounds and Mountain Hawks were followed closely by American and Bucknell with 20. Colgate and Lafayette were next with 19 and 18, respectively. Boston U. placed 17 members on the honor roll while Army notched 16. Holy Cross and Navy round out the teams placing 14 and 12, respectively.
 
Ten of 11 student-athletes named to this season’s Women’s Soccer Academic All-Patriot League squad earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, including two-time Patriot League Corvias Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete Kendall Ham and 2017 CoSDIA Academic All-America of the Year Meghan Hegarty.
 
American had seven student-athletes achieve a 4.00 grade-point average in the fall semester, while Colgate junior Martina Loncar (Studio Art and Educational Studies) led all women’s soccer student-athletes with a 4.08 grade-point average.
 
American sophomore Kyanna Alleyne (Biology), junior senior Audrey Denkler (Psychology), freshman Victoria Kent (Biology), junior Gabby Maldonado (Economics), sophomore Tori Mattson (Accounting), sophomore Charlotte Slavick (Business Administration: Finance) and junior Alexandra Taylor (Psychology); Bucknell seniors Karli Cirovski (Markets, Innovation & Design) and Jackie Ham (Accounting & Financial Management); Colgate junior Martina Loncar (Studio Art and Educational Studies); Holy Cross freshman Jenna Barnes (Undeclared); Lafayette freshman Clare Mengel (International Affairs) and senior Paige Thompson (Psychology); Loyola Maryland sophomore Lily Andres (Biology and Psychology), freshman Sabrina Daglish (Undeclared), junior Jourdan Ziff (Business Administration); and Navy sophomore Sydney Fortson (Aerospace Engineering), senior Meghan Hegarty (Operations Research), sophomore Cadie Higginson (Systems Engineering) and freshman Molly Swiger (Undeclared) each achieved a 4.00 GPA in the fall.
 
Student-athletes who earned the honor roll for a fourth time in their career includes Army West Point’s Kimberly Comstock and Clare Shea; Boston University’s Rachel Bloznalis; Bucknell’s Carolyn Casey, Karli Cirovski, Jackie Ham, Kendall Ham and Meghan Holtz; Colgate’s Eliza Doll; Lafayette’s Paige Thompson; Lehigh’s Lexi Chang, Grace Correll and Amanda Stratton; and Navy’s Meghan Hegarty.
 
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of their sport’s competition.
