Patriot League Women’s Track & Field Place 300 Student-Athletes on 2017-18 Academic Honor Roll

Complete List of the 2017-18 Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –
 The Patriot League has announced its 2017-18 Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Academic Honor Roll, with the 10-member programs combining to have 300 student-athletes recognized for their excellence in the classroom.

To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
 
Bucknell placed a League-high 56 student-athletes on the track & field honor roll. Lehigh finished with 37, while Boston University finished two behind with 35. Rounding out the academic honor roll in order was Holy Cross (32), Lafayette (30), Loyola Maryland (26), Navy (26), Colgate (24), Army West Point (22) and American (10).
 
All ten members of the Women’s Indoor Track & Field Academic All-Patriot League team, and all 11 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-Patriot League squad members made the academic honor roll, including Patriot League Women’s Indoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Bucknell senior Christine Bendzinski along with Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Army West Point sophomore Lynne Mooradian. Additionally, American senior Brianna Belo (outdoor); Army West Point junior Cassie Mundekis (outdoor) and sophomore Calli McMullen (outdoor); Boston University junior Jordan Coverson (indoor/outdoor); Bucknell seniors Alexa DiGregorio (indoor) and Lauren Hudson (indoor) along with junior Colleen Buckley (indoor/outdoor); Colgate seniors Tina Bowers (outdoor) and Hunter Filer (indoor/outdoor); Holy Cross senior Zoe Matherne (indoor/outdoor); Lehigh junior Clare Severe and sophomore Ashleigh Crawford; and Loyola Maryland junior Christa Sidoti (indoor) were on the academic honor roll and the Academic All-Patriot League squads. Army West Point’s Mooradian and Bucknell’s Bendzinski were also selected to both the indoor and outdoor Academic All-Patriot League team and the honor roll.
 
The 2017-18 Patriot League Women’s Track & Field Academic Honor Roll features 46  members that recorded a 4.00 grade-point average (GPA) or higher during the fall semester, led by Lehigh and Navy with eight apiece. Lehigh’s 4.0 GPA honorees include seniors Amanda Fischer, Hannah Leskow and Rachel Okun, junior Olivia Reinold, sophomores Marty Casey and Diana Hammerstone, along with freshmen  Aisha Kumar and Susie Poore; while Navy adds senior Maggie Ruud, junior Claire Chandler, sophomores Lindsay Arvin, Mara Riley and Julia Speranzo, along with freshmen Emma Heinrichs, Ann Jackson and Elizabeth White. The list also includes American’s Adriana Hooks (Jr.), Emily Houghton (So.) and Shelbi Wuss (Fr.); Army West Point’s Mooradian, Abby Vorhaus (Sr.), Madeline Schneider (Jr.) and Sarah Scales (Fr.); Bucknell’s Emma Cousins (Sr.) Alexa DiGregorio (Sr.), Emma Harris (Sr.), Rachel Paciello (Jr.), Tabitha Wismer (Jr.), Mikayla Cochrane (So.) and Madeleine Hunt (Fr.); Colgate’s Filer, Alexandra Millett (So.), Allison Kinne (Fr.) and Hannah Kloster (Fr.); Holy Cross’ Meghan Dietter (Sr.), Tori Zamarra (Sr.) and Katherine Guilbo (Jr.); Lafayette’s Alexa Kwapinski (Sr.), Emily Moore (Jr.), Erin Rome (Jr.), Rebecca Bosanko (So.), Elizabeth Harmon (Fr.) and Liv Palma (Fr.); rounding out the 4.0 GPA honorees are Loyola Maryland’s Sidoti, Gabrielle Silvestri (Jr.) and Devon Terwilliger (Jr.).
