CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The 10 Patriot League men's basketball programs combined to place 55 student-athletes on the 2018-19 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll when it was announced by the League office on Monday.
Lafayette recorded a League-high eight representatives on the Academic Honor Roll. American, Bucknell, and Lehigh placed seven student-athletes on the 2018-19 academic honor roll while Army West Point and Holy Cross had six apiece. Navy had five honorees, while League champion Colgate and Loyola Maryland each had four and Boston University had one representative.
Four of the five members of the 2018-19 Academic All-Patriot League Men's Basketball team made the academic honor roll, including Lafayette junior guard Justin Jaworski, Lehigh juniors Pat Andree and Jordan Cohen and Navy senior guard Hasan Abdullah.
Three student-athletes recorded a 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) during the spring semester, including Lehigh freshman Joe Foley and Cohen, in addition to Navy sophomore Alec Loehr.
Bucknell senior guards Nate Jones and Matt O'Reilly both earned a spot on the academic honor roll during each of their four years. Andree, Cohen, and Abdullah joined American graduate student Yilret Yiljep and junior Mark Gasperini and Loyola Maryland senior James Fives on the academic honor roll for the third time.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
