#CFB150 Series: Holy Cross’s Rob McGovern
More than 20 years after his All-American playing career at Holy Cross concluded, Rob McGovern’s name is still found throughout the Patriot League record book. He remains the League’s single-season record-holder in tackles (182) and third in career tackles (420). The 1988 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and 1989 Kansas City Chiefs’’ 10th Round draft pick (255th overall) spent four seasons in the NFL, but football has not defined McGovern’s life. Patriot League Network correspondent Morgan Uber interviewed McGovern to discuss his heroic life after football.
