Patriot League Announces 98 Men’s Basketball Student-Athletes on Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The 10 Patriot League men’s basketball programs combined to place 98 student-athletes on the 2019-20 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll when the Patriot League office announced it on Monday.
 
Colgate and Loyola Maryland each recorded a League-high 14 representatives on the Academic Honor Roll. League champion Boston University and Lehigh each finished with 11 honorees while Lafayette had 10 and American and Bucknell added nine apiece. Holy Cross and Navy each had eight student-athletes recognized, and Army West Point placed four on the list.
 
All five members of the 2019-20 Academic All-Patriot League Men’s Basketball team made the academic honor roll, including Lafayette junior Justin Jaworski, the men’s basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Bucknell sophomore Andrew Funk, Lehigh senior Jordan Cohen, Loyola Maryland senior KaVaughn Scott and Navy junior Cam Davis also made the honor roll.
 
Thirteen student-athletes recorded 4.0 GPAs including Jaworski, Scott, American graduate student Yilret Yiljep, Boston University freshmen Ethan Brittain-Watts, Michael Quinn and Daman Tate, Holy Cross freshman Ryan Wade, Lafayette sophomore Michael Anekwe, Loyola Maryland seniors Chuck Champion along with Andrew Kostecka and Navy juniors Alec Loehr and Luke Loehr and freshman P.J. Roach.
 
Cohen, Yiljep and American senior Mark Gasperini each earned a spot on the academic honor roll for the fourth time.

To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
