BETHLEHEM, Pa. –  Three Patriot League women's basketball teams are back for week six of Patriot League play this weekend with one game on Saturday, February 6, followed by two on Sunday, February 7. All games will be available on ESPN+.

GEICO Women's Basketball Players of the Week (2.2.21)
Bucknell senior forward Tessa Brugler was named the Patriot League GEICO Women's Basketball Player of the Week, while Army West Point guard Lauren Lithgow received rookie of the week when the League office announced the results on Tuesday. Brugler totaled 32 points and 14 rebounds in two wins over Lehigh this weekend, helping the Bison remain undefeated and clinch the Patriot League Central Division. The senior earned her fifth double-double of the season in Sunday's 73-68 comeback victory in Bethlehem, matching her season-high with 19 points and grabbing 10 boards.

Lithgow averaged 15.5 points per game in the weekend series sweep over North Division foe Colgate. In the 79-53 victory on Saturday, she matched her career-high with 19 points, followed by a 12-point performance in Sunday's 79-45 win.

Patriot League Announces Men's and Women's Basketball Schedule Adjustments
In addition, Patriot League women's basketball games featuring American and Navy, Boston University and Colgate, and Lafayette and Lehigh, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7 have been postponed. The Lafayette women's basketball team will host Boston University on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Magarity Announces Intentions to Retire Following Season

Army West Point women's basketball head coach Dave Magarity announced his intentions to retire following the conclusion of the 2020-21 season. Magarity's tenure has been one of the best periods in Army's women's basketball history. Under his direction the team earned four postseason berths with a pair of NCAA Tournament and WNIT appearances. Magarity is the Black Knights' all-time wins leader with a record of 263-167 in 15 seasons as the head coach. Army has had nine winning seasons under his direction, with 11 players receiving all-Patriot League honors.

The 2021 Patriot League Basketball Plan
The 10 League institutions are divided into three regional mini-conferences (North, South and Central). The North Division includes Army West Point, Boston University, Colgate, and Holy Cross, and the South Division consists of American, Loyola Maryland, and Navy, while Bucknell, Lafayette and Lehigh make up the Central Division.
Teams will play four games against each mini-conference opponent with additional League games played outside of the mini-conferences to complete the 16-game regular-season schedule. The final day of the regular season is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 28.
