BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League has announced 3,739 student-athletes have made the 2020-21 Academic Honor Roll. League student-athletes were recognized for achieving a 3.2-grade point average (GPA) or better during the spring semester.
This marks the fourth consecutive academic year the Patriot League has topped 3,000 academic honor roll selections. The 3,739 student-athletes to receive honors is the second-highest total in Patriot League history, finishing behind the 2019-20 list.
The 2020-21 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll comprises 2,157 women honored across 12 sports and 1,580 men recognized in 10 sports. The 404 women's track and field student-athletes were the most overall honorees across all sports, while women's rowing placed second with 316 selections. Patriot League football student-athletes accounted for 283 places on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, with men's and women's lacrosse placing fourth and fifth with 275 and 264 members, respectively. Women's swimming and diving (255), men's track and field (248), women's soccer (206), men's swimming and diving (184) and women's cross country (180) make up the remainder of the top-10.
Bucknell recorded a League-high 524 student-athletes on the academic honor roll with Lafayette placing second (402) and Boston University finishing third (401). Lehigh finished with 396 selections, with Holy Cross close behind with 393 members and Navy placing 333 on the list. Loyola Maryland (322), Colgate (305), Army West Point (236) and American (227) round out the selections from the Patriot League's full-member institutions. Associate members Georgetown (112), Fordham (44), MIT (37) and Richmond (7) also contributed to the League's final tally.
