ANNAPOLIS, Md. –– Navy's Caleb Mauldin (Sr., Chesapeake, Va.) has been invited to compete at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship that will be held March 24-26 in Atlanta, Ga.  The announcement of the field for the meet was made Wednesday.

Mauldin received the second invitation to the NCAA Championship of his career with his time of 45.82 in the 100 backstroke.  He is seeded 26th in the event.  Mauldin recorded NCAA B cut times in five events this season, but is limited to swimming only three events during the meet.  In addition to the 100 backstroke, he also will swim in the 100 freestyle and the 200 butterfly.  His additional two cut times came in the 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly.

This is the seventh year in a row and the 11th time in the last 14 years in which at least one Navy men's swimmer or diver has advanced to the national championship.  Mauldin placed 30th in the 100 backstroke at the 2021 NCAA Championship.

Georgia Tech is playing host to both the women's and men's NCAA Championship meets.
