ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The 2022 Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship begins on Friday, April 13 at the par-72, 6,084-yard U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, Md. Defending champion Navy will host the six-team field, which includes Boston University, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lehigh and Richmond.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS AND LIVE SCORING: The three-day, 54-hole championship is scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the six teams playing 18 holes each day. Live scoring for the championship is available by

INDIVIDUAL HONORS: The competitor with the lowest three-round score will be the Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship individual medalist. The top five finishers are named to the All-Patriot League First Team, and the next five finishers make the second team. Patriot League Women’s Golf head coaches will vote on the 2022 Patriot League Player, Rookie and Coach of the Year at the conclusion of the championship.
CROWNING A TEAM CHAMPION: Each of the six participating teams consists of six golfers, with the top-four scorers in each round counting toward the team score. The final team score will be determined by totaling all completed rounds. Individual scoring consists of the lowest aggregate score of all completed rounds.
TEAM CHAMPION EARNS AUTOMATIC BID TO THE NCAA REGIONALS: The Patriot League Champion will receive the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals. The individual medalist will also receive a bid to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals if they are not on the championship team. NCAA Regionals will be held from May 9-11 at six regional sites around the country. The 2022 NCAA DI Women’s Golf Selection Show will be on GOLF Channel on April 27 at 5 p.m. ET.
RETURNING ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE SELECTIONS IN THE 2021 FIELD: The last two individual medalists return for the 2022 championship, including Richmond sophomore Rory Weinfurther (2021) and Boston University senior Hanako Kawasaki (2019). Terriers’ sophomore Flair Kuan and junior Alice, Navy junior Angelina Chan and sophomores Mara Hirtle and Stephanie Lee, and Richmond senior Emily Ward and junior Vicky Zhu are back after earning All-League honors last season.
NAVY HOSTS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME: This will be the third time in the nine-year history of the Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship that it will be hosted at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md. The championship was previously hosted by Navy in 2015 when Boston University claimed its first League title and in 2018 when Richmond won their third.
