BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Loyola Maryland, MIT and Navy will compete for the 2022 Patriot League Women’s Rowing Championship title on Cooper River in Camden, N.J. on Friday, May 13.
The competition begins with the preliminary races at 8 a.m., followed by the petite finals at 12:30 p.m. and the grand finals at 1:15 p.m. Live results can be found

In 2021, Navy captured its sixth consecutive Patriot League Women’s Rowing Title with 54 points after placing first in the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four Grand Finals. Bucknell finished second for the second consecutive championship with 47 points, followed by Boston University (43), Colgate (32) and Holy Cross (28). Lehigh and Loyola Maryland rounded out the results with 26 and 19 points, respectively. Georgetown and MIT did not compete at last year’s championship.
The championship will be scored on a weighted scale, with nine points for the winner of the varsity four race, 18 for the second varsity eight and 27 for the varsity eight. The school that accumulates the most total points in the three races will be crowned the Patriot League champion. If there is a tie for first place in the final point total, the higher-place finisher of the Varsity Eight race will be named the Patriot League champion.
The winner of the 2022 Patriot League Women’s Rowing Championship will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Rowing Championship that will take place at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. from May 27-29.
