WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The reigning Patriot League champion Boston University women's rowing program completed the opening day of the 2025 NCAA Championships on Friday at Mercer Lake.
Competing at the NCAAs for the third time in four years, BU raced against the top crews in the nation during morning heats. Coxed by
Audrey Lucerne and stroked by
Sotiria Angou, the varsity 8 boat opened the day with a time of 6:36.220 in its heat. The 2V8, coxed by
Valeria Lizarraga Ramirez and stroked by
Kate Barham, followed with a time of 6:47.395 in its race before the V4 boat, coxed by
Kennedy Walker and stroked by
Lilly McSweeney, posted a time of 7:25.817 in its heat.
All three boats advanced to Saturday's C/D semifinals. The V8 will race at 9:12 a.m., followed by the 2V8 at 9:28a.m., and the V4 at 9:44 a.m.
