LEHIGH’S SIBBLIS STRIVING FOR GREATNESS IN THE COMMUNITY
The Patriot League’s Maria Trivelpiece features Lehigh defensive end Mikhari Sibblis, who has become the chapter leader for Lehigh’s Uplifting Athlete’s chapter. Along with other players across the nation, Sibblis raises awareness for people with rare diseases, as well as helping find doctors and fundraising for people to help the cause.

NCAA.COM’S WEEK 4 FCS QUARTERBACK RANKINGS
NCAA.com’s Stan Becton unveiled his weekly FCS quarterback rankings, with Fordham’s DeMorat claiming the top spot over Jackson State’s Shedeur Sanders. DeMorat leads the FCS in passing yards per game (451.2) and passing touchdowns (22). He threw for a career-high 503 yards and tied his career-high with six touchdown passes. Holy Cross Jr. QB Matthew Sluka climbed to fifth after accounting for four touchdowns in their League opener with Colgate, helping the Crusaders improve to 4-0.

DEMORAT AND KOKOSIOULIS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE FCS’S TOP FIVE QB-WR DUOS
Fordham’s Tim DeMorat and Fotis Kokosioulis were recognized on NCAA.com as one of the top-five FCS quarterback-wide receiver duos. DeMorat leads the FCS in passing yards per game (451.2) and touchdown passes (22) while Kokosioulis, the reigning Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week leads the FCS in receiving yards per game (170.8) and touchdown receptions (7). The Rams’ duo is listed along with tandems from Jackson State, Mercer, South Carolina State and UT Martin.

HOLY CROSS AND FORDHAM REMAIN IN FCS POWER RANKINGS
Emory Hunt of CBS Sports released his FCS power rankings leading up to week five of the season with Holy Cross remaining No. 6 after opening its League slate with a 35-10 victory at Colgate. The Crusaders are 4-0 to start the season for the first time since 2009. Fordham climbed three spots to No. 14 after a 59-52 shootout loss at FBS opponent Ohio University. Hunt highlights the performance of senior wide receiver Fotis Kokosioulis, who racked up 320 receiving yards and four TDs against the Bobcats.

Sam Herder of Hero Sports published Holy Cross’ résumé at No. 10, as they are 4-0 overall, 3-0 in the FCS, undefeated in Division I play and have no FCS losses. This résumé also includes ranked wins at the time of the game, wins against teams currently ranked in the Top 25 and strength of schedule.

Series History: The Mountain Hawks meet the Hawks for the ninth time and lead the series, 5-3. The teams will square off at Goodman Stadium, where they are tied at two wins each. Monmouth has taken the last three games in the series, with Lehigh’s last win coming in 2013.
Last Meeting: (Sept. 9, 2017) – At Monmouth 46, Lehigh 27 – Lehigh came back from a 14-0 deficit and held a 27-20 lead early in the third quarter, but Monmouth closed the game with 26 unanswered points to beat the Mountain Hawks. QB Brad Mayes finished 23-of-38 for 334 yards and three touchdowns, while WR Troy Pelletier became Lehigh’s all-time receptions leader during the loss.

Series History: Colgate and Cornell meet for the 103rd time, with the Raiders one win away from knotting up the all-time series that currently stands at 50-49-3 in favor of the Big Red. Colgate holds a one-game edge at home against Cornell, 11-10. The teams first met in 1896.
Last Meeting: (Oct. 15, 2021) –At Cornell 34, Colgate 20 – DB Will Gruber returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter, but Colgate fell to Cornell, 34-20, at Schoellkopf Stadium. Gruber finished with three tackles, two pass breakups and a blocked field goal. WR Garrett Oakey caught three passes for 98 yards and a touchdown, and DB Mikey Jarmolowich had a game-high 13 tackles.

Series History: Holy Cross and Harvard meet for the 73rd time, with the Crusaders trailing, 45-25-2. The teams first met in 1904. Holy Cross’s last victory against Harvard came in 2017 in a 27-17 decision.
Last Meeting: (Oct. 2, 2021) - Harvard 38, at No. 24 Holy Cross 13) - The Crusaders fell into a 24-point hole in the first half and could not climb out in a 38-13 loss against Harvard. WR Ayir Asante scored on a 59-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put the Crusaders on the scoreboard. QB Matt Sluka also rushed for a touchdown to bring Holy Cross within 11 points before the Crimson tacked on two more scores.

Last Meeting: (Nov. 6, 2021) - Fordham 41, at Georgetown 20 - Georgetown scored first, but Fordham answered with 41 straight points, including three touchdown passes from QB Tim DeMorat in a 41-20 victory. DeMorat completed 22-of-37 passes for 273 yards, while WR Fotis Kokosioulis caught five passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Georgetown WR Joshua Tomas caught 10 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Last Meeting: (Oct. 9, 2021) - At Lafayette 27, Bucknell 0 - Lafayette’s defense held Bucknell to 169 yards of total offense and WR Joe Gillette, RB Selwyn Simpson and RB Michael Hayes rushed for touchdowns in a 27-0 victory. Gillette caught three passes for 72 yards and rushed for 51 yards on five carries to lead the offense. LB Marco Olivas led the defense with 16 tackles and one sack for the Leopards. Bucknell CB Sterling Deary and S Brent Jackson recorded seven tackles apiece and a half-tackle for loss.
