BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh claimed three of the four Patriot League Field Hockey weekly awards when the League office announced honors on Monday. Colgate claimed one accolade.
Lehigh senior midfielder Sarah Bonthuis captured Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals, including the game-winner, against Ball State. Junior defender Julia Gatelein received defensive player of the week in helping the Mountain Hawks hold Ball State scoreless through 54 minutes in their win. Freshman midfielder Kiki Mes claimed her first rookie of the week honor.
Colgate senior Anna Unger was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week after making 14 saves and posting an .824 save percentage during the Raiders’ 1-1 week.
Boston University senior forward Mikayla Crowley, Bucknell sophomore forward Lily Neilson and junior defender Mia Fields and Lafayette senior forward Molly McAndrew received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sarah Bonthuis, Lehigh, Sr., Midfielder/Forward, Oud-Beijerland, Netherlands/HC Hoecksche Waard
*Bonthuis scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lead Lehigh to a 3-1 victory over Ball State on Saturday.
*The senior midfielder scored the first goal of the game in the 28th minute before tallying Lehigh’s third goal at the 42:04 mark in the third quarter for her fourth career multi-goal game.
*She led Lehigh with 10 shots and five shots on goal during the two-game week.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Julia Gatelein, Lehigh, Jr., Midfielder, Haddon Heights, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep
*Gatelein started both of Lehigh’s games in a defensive midfield role, helping the Mountain Hawks go 1-1, including a 3-1 victory over Ball State.
*The junior midfielder helped the Mountain Hawks shut out the Cardinals through the game’s first 54 minutes while holding a 12-0 shooting advantage in the second and third quarters.
*She posted three shots and scored a goal in Lehigh’s win against Ball State.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Anna Unger, Colgate, Sr., Goalkeeper, Houston, Texas/St. Agnes Academy
*Unger made 14 saves and posted an .824 save percentage to help Colgate go 1-1 last week, including a win against Bryant.
*The senior goalkeeper made nine saves and allowed one goal in the Raiders’ 2-1 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday.
*She also made five saves in Colgate’s 2-1 overtime loss against Lock Haven on Sunday.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kiki Mes, Lehigh, Fr., Defender/Midfielder, Maastricht, Netherlands/Porta Mosana College
*Mes played an important role in connecting the defense to the offense from her midfield position in the Mountain Hawks games last week.
*She recorded one shot against Ball State.

Mikayla Crowley, Boston University, Sr., Forward, Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire
*Crowley scored the game-winning goal in the Terriers’ 2-1 victory over Saint Louis on Saturday. Her goal broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth quarter.
Lily Neilson, Bucknell, So., Forward, Armidale, New South Wales, Australia/The Armidale School
*Neilson scored her third goal of the season in a 3-2 loss against Kent State. She posted five shots with three on goal. She has scored in each of Bucknell’s three games this season.

*Fields scored Bucknell’s second goal in their 3-2 loss against Kent State.
Molly McAndrew, Lafayette, Sr., Forward, Cherry Hill, N.J./Paul VI
*McAndrew scored a goal in each of Lafayette’s games last week. She found the back of the net in the second quarter of the Leopards’ loss at No. 20 Wake Forest. She also scored Lafayette’s first goal in a loss at VCU.
