BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate swept this week’s Patriot League Volleyball awards for the second time this season when the League announced weekly honors on Tuesday.
Colgate junior outside hitter Abby Shadwick was named Patriot League Volleyball Player of the Week after she hit .410 and registered 33 kills in a 3-0 week.
Teammate freshman setter Claire Dewine aided in the Raiders’ 3-0 week with 32 total assists, 15 digs and three service aces to earn rookie of the week honors.
American graduate student middle blocker Carlie Fiske, Army West Point sophomore Mackenzie Lynch, and Bucknell sophomore outside hitter Bri Frazilus earned honorable mentions.

Abby Shadwick, Colgate, Jr., OH, Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay
* Shadwick helped the Raiders go 3-0 with three consecutive sweeps over Binghamton, Army, and Holy Cross by compiling 33 kills for a 3.67 kills per set average to go with a .410 hitting percentage.
* The junior posted two double-doubles with double-digit kills and digs without recording a single attack error.
* She had 12 kills and 10 digs in a quick 3-0 sweep against Binghamton last Tuesday, followed by 13 kills and 10 digs in Colgate's 3-0 sweep of Army.
Rookie of the Week
Claire Dewine, Colgate, Fr., S, The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands
* Dewine dished 32 assists for an average of 5.33 per set, while adding three service aces and 15 digs (2.5 digs per set) and contributing to Colgate's hitting percentage of .315 in the 3-0 week.
* The freshman recorded 15 assists and seven digs in the 3-0 win over Army West Point and 17 assists and eight digs in the 3-0 victory versus Holy Cross.
Honorable Mention
Carlie Fiske, American, Gr., MB, Sioux Falls, S.D./Harrisburg
* Fiske hit .479 in a 3-0 week for the Eagles as she averaged 2.78 kills per set and 1.33 blocks per set. The middle blocker had a team-high 11 kills along with a match-high five blocks. She hit .625 in a 3-0 win vs. Lehigh.
Mackenzie Lynch, Army West Point, So., OH, Fletcher, N.C./T.C. Robertson
* Lynch had 19 kills (3.17 k/s), a .235 percentage, five digs, five blocks, and 21.5 points against Holy Cross and Colgate. In Army's 3-0 sweep against Holy Cross, Lynch had 12 kills, three digs, and 12.5 points.
Bri Frazilus, Bucknell, So., OH, Cary, N.C./North Raleigh Christian Academy
* Frazilus finished the 3-0 win over Loyola with 11 kills, six digs and one block assist in the team’s first road conference sweep since 2015.

2023 Patriot League Volleyball Championship
The 2023 Patriot League Volleyball Championship begins with quarterfinal-round action on Tuesday, Nov. 14, followed by semifinals on Friday, Nov. 17. The Patriot League Volleyball Championship Game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 19. Both the semifinal and championship matches will be played at the No. 1 seed.
