BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced the hiring of Ethan Bragg as Assistant Director for Administration. Bragg joins the League office staff after serving five years as the Assistant Tournament Director for Baseball Northwest and one season as head baseball coach at Corban University.
In his position, Bragg will assist in the planning and administration of a variety of League championships. He will serve as the primary communications contact for men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field and women’s rowing. Bragg will also assist in compliance, governance, internal operations and student-athlete engagement for the League office.
“Ethan’s experience as a student-athlete, head coach and administrator make him an ideal fit for our staff and an excellent resource for our membership,” Patriot League Commissioner Jennifer Heppel said. “We are excited to welcome him to the Patriot League and help him grow within his role.”
“I want to thank Commissioner Heppel and the rest of the Patriot League staff for the opportunity to join the League office,” Bragg said. “Throughout the process, it was clear that the League and its member institutions have an integral value system that supports the entire student-athlete experience. I look forward to growing in my role and serving the membership as they continue with a comprehensive approach to collegiate athletics.”
Prior to joining the League office, Bragg split time as a college baseball coach at Corban University in Salem, Ore., and as the Assistant Tournament Director for Baseball Northwest Inc. He served as the head baseball coach at Corban during the 2022-2023 academic year after serving as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for the previous four years. He also worked as a member of the game management staff and sports information department for the University.
For Baseball Northwest Inc., he primarily assisted high school student-athletes with the collegiate recruiting process by helping organize showcase events and managing online player profiles. Furthermore, he assisted in the company's social media and content coordination, focusing on player highlights and graphics.
During his career as a baseball student-athlete, Bragg spent two years at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Ore., where he garnered NWAC South All-Conference honors alongside an NWAC South Gold Glove award. He then transferred to nearby Corban University, where he won a pair of NAIA West Gold Gloves and finished in Corban’s top three in doubles, HRs, RBIs, and walks during his career. Bragg is second in Corban’s record book for single-season doubles (18). At Corban, he was also a member of the University's inaugural Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was named to the NAIA Scholar-Athlete Team.
Bragg, a Jerome, Idaho native, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports and Recreation Management from Corban University in 2018 and completed his Master of Business Administration at Corban in the summer of 2020. Ethan and his wife, Abby, relocated to the East Coast in the summer of 2023.
