BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The 2024 Patriot League Men and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will take place beginning Wednesday, Feb. 21, through Saturday, Feb. 24, at the U.S. Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md. All 10 Patriot League schools will compete. This will be the 14th year the Midshipmen have hosted the event, dating back to 1995.
Navy, the reigning men’s and women’s swimming and diving champions, look to earn their 20th Patriot League title on the men’s side and 21st on the women’s side. Last year, the Navy men finished with 856.5 points, followed closely by Army West Point, who racked up 846.5 points. Bucknell tallied 538.5 points to claim third. The Navy women totaled 799 points to place first. The Black Knights finished second with 615.5 points and the Bison rounded out the podium with 540.5 points.
Patriot League Championship Schedule
The four-day event will begin on Wednesday with the women’s three-meter diving trials at 1 p.m. The swimming events will kick off Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. with the women’s 200-yard medley relay final. Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. and the finals will swim at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The remaining diving trials will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

Tickets are available for all sessions of the 2024 Patriot League Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall by visiting the
Navy Sports official ticketing website.
Visiting the U.S. Naval Academy
Vehicle access to the United States Naval Academy is restricted to those vehicles driven by someone with a Department of Defense identification card. All other visitors -- including fans attending sporting events -- will need to park outside of the USNA grounds and enter the Academy through the visitor’s entrance located at Gate One (located at the corner of King George St. and Randall St. in downtown Annapolis; for GPS purposes use 52 King George St., Annapolis, MD, 21402). Patriot League Awards
For both the men and the women, the first-place finishers in each event will be named to the All-Patriot League First Team and then will be backfilled by points if needed, while the second-place finishers will make the second team. If needed, the second team will also be backfilled by points. The men’s and women’s swimming coach of the year, the Joe Suriano Men's Diving Coach of the year and the women’s diving coach of the year awards will be voted on by the League's head coaches at the completion of the events. The men’s and women’s swimmer of the meet, the men’s and women’s diver of the meet and the men’s and women’s rookie of the meet will also be selected by head coaches. The Patriot League will also present awards to the men's and women's highest point scorers of the meet.
Returning Major Award Winners
The 2023 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Swimmers and Divers of the Meet all return to this year’s competition. On the women’s side, Swimmer of the Meet, American Mimi Watts and Diver of the Meet, BU Sumi Cameron, both had strong senior seasons and are poised for another outstanding championship. On the men’s side, Navy returns both the Men’s Diver of the Meet junior Blakeman Shaw and Swimmer of the Meet senior Jonah Harm. Last year, Harm set a new Patriot League Championship record in the 100-yard fly with a time of 45.58. He also set the Lejeune Hall pool record in the same event with a time of 46.27 in February, 2022.
Returning All-Patriot League -Men
Defending champion Navy returns 10 All-League honorees, including Harm and Shaw. Army returns seven First Team All-League honorees, including the 2023 Rookie of the Meet Brice Barrieault. All-Leaguer John Gehrig is back for Bucknell. Loyola Maryland looks to make a run at the podium thanks to the return of first-team honorees Patrick Hayburn, Caleb Kelly, Henry Mueller and Max Verheyen.
Returning All-Patriot League -Women
Defending champion Navy returns six First-team honorees including the 2023 Rookie of the Meet, Lauren Walsh. Second-place Army’s All-League returning class features Aurelie Migault, Molly Webber, Clara Williams and this season’s three-time Patriot League Diver of the Week, Minh Donnell. Back for Boston University are Haley Newman, Sophia Souza and the 2023 Diver of the Meet Cameron. Other All-League returnees include Loyola Maryland’s Lily Mead and the 2023 Swimmer of the Meet, American’s Watts.
Record-Setting Rookies
In Navy’s regular-season meet against Army in December, Mids’ freshman Ben Irwin and Ela Habjan set Patriot League records. Irwin posted his record-setting mark in the 200-yard back with a time of 1:41.50. Habjan’s time of 52.87 in the 100-yard back is now tops in the League.
