PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Boston University Terriers women's rowing program captured its third Patriot League Women's Rowing championship on Friday after sweeping the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity Four races. The Terriers recorded 54 points at the championship, which was held at Cooper River.
MIT and Navy finished with 44 team points apiece, with the Mids taking home runner-up team honors by virtue of their second-place finish in the Varsity Eight Grand Final. The Engineers logged a third-place team finish, their highest finish at the Patriot League Championship since 2012.
Georgetown finished fourth with 36 points and Bucknell totaled 29 points to place fifth. Holy Cross (27), Colgate (16), Lehigh (11) and Loyola Maryland (9) rounded out the nine-team championship field.
The Boston University Varsity Eight was also named the 2024 Patriot League Women's Rowing Boat of the Year. Terriers’ first-year head coach Malcolm Doldron was named the Patriot League Women's Rowing Coach of the Year after leading his squad to their third League title. Boston University also won the championship in 2014 and 2022.

The Terriers claimed the Patriot League's automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Rowing Championship that will take place in Bethel, Ohio on Harsha Lake from May 31-June 2. You can watch the 2024 DI rowing selection on NCAA.com at 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 21.
