Patriot League Football Players of the Week presented by Credit Union 1 Announced (10.27.25)

Lehigh’s Johnson, Georgetown’s Mose and Holy Cross’ Mosey and Fisher earn weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore quarterback Hayden Johnson and Georgetown senior linebacker Naiteitei Mose earned Patriot League Football Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, when the League office announced weekly awards, presented by Credit Union 1, on Monday. Holy Cross also claimed two weekly accolades.
 
The Mountain Hawks’ Johnson earned Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week for the first time, after he completed 17-of-26 passes for a career-high 267 yards in Lehigh’s 27-6 victory over Fordham. He also rushed for a touchdown.
 
Georgetown senior linebacker Naiteitei Mose was named Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Week for the first time after returning an interception 65 yards for a game-winning touchdown with 12 seconds left in the fourth quarter of a 31-24 win at Bucknell.
 
Holy Cross senior wide receiver Max Mosey claimed his second Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week. He returned a punt 47 yards for a touchdown in the Crusaders’ 29-28 loss against Colgate.
 
Crusaders’ freshman wide receiver Lincoln Fisher was selected Patriot League Rookie of the Week. He caught two touchdown passes on four receptions for a career-high 37 yards.
 
Colgate junior linebacker Trooper Price and sophomore running back Danny Shaban, Fordham graduate student linebacker James Conway, Georgetown sophomore placekicker Thomas Anderson and sophomore running back Savion Hart, Holy Cross junior running back Jayden Clerveaux, and sophomore linebacker Lathan Croley and Lehigh senior linebacker Brycen Edwards received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
 
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s football athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Offensive Player of the Week
Hayden Johnson, Lehigh, So., QB, Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township
*Johnson completed 17-of-26 passes for a career-high 267 passing yards in Lehigh’s 27-6 victory over Fordham to improve to 8-0.
*He also rushed for 28 yards and scored the first touchdown of the game.
*The sophomore quarterback matched his career high with 17 completions, connecting with six different receivers.

Naiteitei Mose, Georgetown, Sr., LB, Euless, Texas/Euless Trinity
*Mose returned an interception 65 yards for a game-winning touchdown with 12 seconds left in the fourth quarter of the Hoyas’ 31-24 win over Bucknell.
*The senior linebacker added four tackles and 1.0 TFL in the Hoyas’ third straight win.
*He has recorded two defensive touchdowns of 60 yards or more this season.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Special Teams Player of the Week
Max Mosey, Holy Cross, Sr., WR/PR, Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin
*Mosey returned a punt 47 yards for a touchdown in the Crusaders’ 29-28 loss against Colgate.
*He leads the Patriot League with 18.4 yards per punt return, more than double any other League punt returner.
*The senior wide receiver also had four catches for 23 yards against the Raiders.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Rookie of the Week
Lincoln Fisher, Holy Cross, Fr., WR, Upper Marlboro, Md./Gonzaga College (D.C.)
*Fisher caught four passes for a career-high 37 yards and two touchdowns in the Crusaders’ loss against Colgate.
*The freshman wide receiver caught an 11-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and a six-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

Trooper Price, Colgate, Jr., LB, Ponte Vedra, Fla./Ponte Vedra
*Price recorded a game-high 15 tackles, including eight solo stops, and 1.5 TFLs in Colgate’s 29-28 comeback victory over Holy Cross. He also added a pass breakup in the Raiders’ largest second-half comeback win since 2007.  
 
Danny Shaban, Colgate, So., RB, Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow
*Shaban rushed for a career-high 93 yards on 13 carries, including a three-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He rushed for 44 of the Raiders’ 61 yards on Colgate’s game-winning fourth-quarter drive to help overcome an 18-point deficit.
 
James Conway, Fordham, Gr., LB, Omaha, Neb./Millard West
*Conway made a game-high 16 tackles, including 1.0 TFL, to become the NCAA FCS career tackles leader with 555 career stops. The graduate student linebacker helped the Rams’ defense hold the Mountain Hawks to 83 yards under its season rushing average.

*Anderson connected on a 35-yard field goal and all four of his PAT attempts in Georgetown’s 31-27 victory over Bucknell.

*Hart rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries to lead Georgetown to a 31-24 victory over Bucknell.
 
Jayden Clerveaux, Holy Cross, Jr., RB, Everett, Mass./Williston Northampton
*Clerveaux rushed for a team-high 79 yards on 18 carries in Holy Cross’ loss against Colgate.
 
Lathan Croley, Holy Cross, So., LB, Miami, Fla./Miami Palmetto Senior
*Croley finished with a career-high 15 tackles and 1.0 TFL in Holy Cross’ loss against Colgate. The sophomore linebacker posted his third double-digit tackle game of the season.
 
Brycen Edwards, Lehigh, Sr, LB, Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor
*Edwards made a career-high 13 tackles and had 1.5 sacks and a pass breakup in Lehigh’s 27-6 win over Fordham. The senior linebacker helped the Mountain Hawks hold the Rams to six points and 277 total yards.
