BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore guards Cam Gillus and Nasir Whitlock combined to score 36 points to lead a hot-shooting Lehigh squad to a 94-68 victory over Colgate in front of a national television audience on CBS Sports Network.
*The Mountain Hawks connected on a season-best 59.3 percent (33-of-59) of their field-goal attempts, hitting 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from 3-point range to split the season series against the Raiders and pick up their third win in four games.
*Gillus scored a game-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc while grabbing a team-high six rebounds. Whitlock tallied 17 points and five boards off the bench.
*Joshua Ingram recorded 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals, while senior guard Ben Knostman and first-year forward Alfredo Addesa added 14 and 11 points, respectively, to help the Mountain Hawks bench unit account for 37 points.
*Colgate fifth-year forward Jeff Woodward and sophomore guard Jalen Cox scored 14 points apiece to lead the Raiders. Woodward added seven rebounds and two assists.
*Sophomore guard Parker Jones added 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from long distance, as the Raiders’ bench totaled 36 points.
