BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 16/15 Boston University collected two of the five Patriot League men’s lacrosse weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Monday. No. 8/6 Army West Point, Lafayette and Lehigh each received one accolade.
For the second time this season, Army West Point senior attack Jackson Eicher was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week. Eicher collected the honors for the fourth time in his career after leading the Black Knights to a 13-12 win over No. 5 North Carolina with six points on five goals and one assist.
Boston University sophomore defender Logan Styles claimed his first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors after combining for four caused turnovers and five ground balls in the Terriers’ 1-1 week.
Terriers’ freshman Madden Murphy earned Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week honors for the second time this season after winning 78.3 percent of his faceoffs and totaling 10 groundballs in the Terriers’ 1-1 week.
Lehigh sophomore Kasey Heath collected Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors after recording 13 saves, an 81.3% save percentage, eight ground balls and two caused turnovers as the Mountain Hawks defeated Loyola Maryland, 7-3.
Leopards’ freshman attack Joshua Heaney was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the first time following a six-point performance (five goals, one assist) in Lafayette’s 14-5 win over Bucknell.
Army West Point freshman attack Hill Plunkett, Boston University senior goalkeeper Will Barnes, junior attack Jimmy Kohr and freshman attack Timothy Shannehan, Colgate senior attack Rory Connor, Lafayette senior attack Riley Sullivan, junior goalkeeper Joe Doherty and senior defender Cade Kilbride, Lehigh senior faceoff specialist Sean Dow and junior defender Luke McAuliffe received honorable mention for their performances last week.

In Saturday’s 16-4 win over Holy Cross, the sophomore recorded two caused turnovers and three ground balls, while helping the Terriers’ defense hold Holy Cross scoreless for the first three quarters.
*The South Hamilton, Mass. native has 12 caused turnovers and 13 ground balls this season.
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Faceoff Specialist of the Week
Madden Murphy, Boston University, Fr., FO, East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville
*Murphy won 78.3 percent of his faceoffs and totaled 10 groundballs across a 1-1 week for Boston University. After going 9-for-14 with five ground balls at No. 12/13 Harvard on Tuesday, the freshman was a perfect 9-for-9 at the ‘X’ on Saturday against Holy Cross, matching his career high with five ground balls.
*The East Setauket, N.Y. native is 65-for-113 at the ‘X’ this season for a 57.5 percent success rate which ranks fourth in the Patriot League.

Kasey Heath, Lehigh, So., GK, Chester, Md./Kent Island
*Heath had a career day in Lehigh’s 7-3 win over Loyola Maryland as the sophomore recorded 13 saves, an 81.3% save percentage, eight ground balls and two caused turnovers. The three goals allowed marked a season-low.
*The Chester, Md. native leads the Patriot League in saves per game (13.89), ranks third in save percentage (.584) and fifth in goals-against average (9.89).

*Barnes, a four-time Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week this season, stopped all 10 shots he faced in 45 minutes to shut out Holy Cross in Boston University’s 16-4 victory. The senior made nine saves in a 16-7 loss at No. 12/13 Harvard on Tuesday.
