BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 3 Navy downed No. 6 Lehigh, 19-2, and No. 4 Holy Cross defeated No. 5 Colgate, 19-13, to advance to the semifinal round of the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship, presented by Credit Union 1, on Thursday, May 1, at Loyola Maryland’s Ridley Athletic Complex.
Three Mids scored three goals apiece, including freshman attack Taylor Miles, who posted a career-high seven points to lead No. 3 Navy to the semifinal round for the fourth straight season. Junior attack Emma Kennedy and freshman attack Alyssa Chung both finished with three goals and two assists, and senior defender Alyssa Daley won 16 draw controls.
The Crusaders’ senior midfielder Ellia Kittredge recorded eight points on four goals and four assists to help No. 4 Holy Cross advance to the semifinals for the second straight season in a 19-13 win over No. 5 Colgate. Senior attackers Sally Zinsner (5g), Riley Peters (4g, 1a) and Isabela Miller (2g, 4a) all contributed to Holy Cross’ offensive outburst.
The fourth-seeded Crusaders will travel to Baltimore to take on the top-seeded Greyhounds on Thursday, May 1, at 3 p.m. to open the semifinal round of the Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The third-seeded Mids will meet arch-rival No. 2 Army West Point in the second semifinal matchup, with the opening draw scheduled for 7 p.m. Both semifinal contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
The 2025 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, with live coverage on CBS Sports Network beginning at 2:30 p.m. Jason Knapp and Rachael DeCecco will be on the call for the nationally televised championship game. ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Freshman attack Taylor Miles posted career-highs of seven points on three goals and four assists as No. 3 Navy defeated No. 6 Lehigh, 19-2, in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
*After Lehigh senior attack Angelina Pino scored the game-opening goal at the 13:43 mark in the first quarter, the Mids scored the following 11 goals through the 10:40 mark in the second quarter to take control of the game.
*Navy junior attack Emma Kennedy and freshman attack Alyssa Chung both finished with three goals and two assists, while senior attacker Emily Messinese, junior midfielder Maggie DeFabio and sophomore midfielder Mikayla Williams each added two goals for the Mids.
*Navy senior defender Alyssa Daley led the Mids with a game-high 16 draw controls, while sophomore goalkeeper Felicia Giglio made four saves and allowed just two goals in just under 50 minutes.
*Lehigh’s Pino and junior midfielder Emmie Ridgeway scored one goal apiece to lead the Mountain Hawks’ offense.
*Senior goalkeeper Julia DeLitta made nine saves for Lehigh.
