BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh claimed two Patriot League softball weekly awards, while Boston University earned one when the League office announced honors on Monday.
Lehigh senior infielder Rory Dudley earned Patriot League Player of the Week after batting .636 in the Mountain Hawks’ series sweep against Bucknell. First-year Kelly Fricker claimed Patriot League Rookie of the Week after batting a team-high .750, going 4-for-4 in game one of the series.
Boston University junior pitcher Kasey Ricard was named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week, for the second consecutive week, posting a 3-1 record and becoming the fifth pitcher in Patriot League history to earn 600 strikeouts.
Boston University junior designated player Olivia Delong, Army West Point junior infielder Taylor Brown, Colgate junior pitcher Maya Servedio and first-year Mia Cascio and Lehigh first-year pitcher Madison Finnerty earned honorable mentions.
The Patriot League softball players of the week are selected in a vote by each school’s head softball coach, who is not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Softball Player of the Week
Rory Dudley, Lehigh, Sr., INF, Irvine, Calif./ Irvine
*Dudley went 7-for-11 at the plate to lead Lehigh in its three-game sweep of Bucknell, as the Mountain Hawks outscored the Bison 22-1.
*The senior recorded at least two hits in each game, including a 3-for-4 performance in Sunday’s series finale with a two-run home run in the first inning and four total RBIs.
*Dudley picked up her 100th career RBI with a single through the left side in the fourth inning of Lehigh’s game one win on Friday
*With four home runs and 29 RBIs this season, Dudley leads Lehigh in both statistical categories.
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kasey Ricard, Boston University, Jr., P, Littleton, Mass./ Littleton
*Ricard posted a 3-1 record with a 0.98 ERA, 14 strikeouts, and a .164 opponent batting average over 21.1 innings.
*The junior became the fifth pitcher in Patriot League history to surpass 600 career strikeouts.
*Ricard struck out seven in four innings during an 11-1 game one win at Holy Cross, then earned the win in relief in game two after allowing just one unearned run over four innings.
*Ricard earned a complete game victory against Holy Cross in the series finale to move to 17-7 on the season.
Softball Rookie of the Week
Kelly Fricker, Lehigh, Fy., INF, West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin
*Fricker batted 6-for-8 in the Bucknell series with two doubles, five runs scored, and two RBIs.
*The first-year went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored, and two RBIs in Game 1, adding a two-run single to extend the lead to 5-0.
*Fricker scored two runs in Sunday’s series finale and drew three walks and a hit-by-pitch over four games.
Honorable Mentions
Oliva Delong, Boston University, Jr., DP, Amesbury, Mass./ Amesbury
Delong batted .583 with four RBIs and two runs scored over four games, including a pinch-hit single at Providence and her first career home run at Holy Cross. She went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the series finale, delivering an RBI double in the fifth inning and a two-RBI single in the seventh inning.
Taylor Brown, Army West Point, Jr., INF, Pembroke Pines, Fla./ Archbishop McCarthy
Brown led the Black Knights with a .538 batting average and .533 on-base percentage, totaling seven hits on the week. She went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate against Villanova and added three putouts and 11 assists at shortstop.
Mia Cascio, Colgate, Fy., Escondido, Calif./ Rancho Bernardo
Cascio batted .375 with a home run, four runs scored and two RBIs, finishing the week with a .750 slugging percentage and .444 on-base mark. She helped lead Colgate to its first League series win of the season, highlighted by a home run in a 6-2 game 3 victory.
Madison Finnerty, Lehigh, Fy., P, Moorpark, Calif./ Moorpark
Finnerty went 2-0 in the Bucknell series, allowing just one run over 11 innings, including her first career shutout—a five-inning one-hitter with five strikeouts. She holds a team-best 2.16 ERA in League play and has earned four of Lehigh’s six League victories.
Maya Servedio, Colgate, Jr., P, Yorktown, N.Y./ Yorktown
Servedio posted a 1.75 ERA over 12.0 innings with a 1-1 record and five strikeouts on the week. Tossed her eighth complete game of the season in Colgate’s series-clinching game 3 win.
