WEST POINT, N.Y. – No. 1 seed Army West Point will host the 2025 Patriot League Softball Championship presented by Credit Union 1 beginning Thursday, May 8. The Black Knights will welcome Boston University, Lehigh and Bucknell to West Point, N.Y., for a three-day, double-elimination tournament to determine the League’s 2025 softball champion.
Due to inclement weather forecasted for Friday, the championship schedule has shifted to a Thursday, Saturday and Sunday schedule. Games one and two will be played on Thursday, games three, four and five will be moved to Saturday and the championship round beginning on Sunday.
The Black Knights earned the top seed after finishing 16–2 in League play, their highest League win total in program history, en route to their first regular-season title since 2010. Army West Point is led by 2025 Patriot League Player of the Year Ashton White and Coach of the Year Jen Consaul.
The Terriers return to the Patriot League tournament looking to defend their 2024 title. Boston University went 14–4 in League play and features two-time Patriot League Pitcher of the Year Kasey Ricard and 2025 Defensive Player of the Year Brooke Deppiesse. The Terriers will open their title defense against Lehigh.
The Mountain Hawks, the No. 3 seed, have appeared in every Patriot League tournament since the League’s inception. Lehigh is led by first-year standout Kelly Fricker, the 2025 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, who leads the League with a .437 batting average. Lehigh opens the tournament against Boston University in a rematch of the 2024 championship game.
Bucknell clinched the No. 4 seed after winning eight of its final nine games over the last three series of the regular season. The Bison are powered by their pitching duo of Savannah Jones and Madison Roukey, with Jones earning a spot on the 2025 Patriot League Second Team All-League.

Reigning All-Tournament Players
Ricard returns as the reigning tournament MVP after helping the Terriers claim their seventh Patriot League title in 2024, striking out the final four batters in the championship game.
Teammate Brooke Deppiesse, Army West Point pitcher Breanna Izzo, infielder Ashton White and Bucknell pitcher Madison Roukey also return after earning spots on the 2024 All-Tournament Team.
All-League Players in the Tournament
Army West Point and Boston University each earned two major awards, with the Black Knights taking home Player and Coach of the Year honors and the Terriers collecting Defensive and Pitcher of the Year accolades. Lehigh received one major award, with Fricker earning Rookie of the Year.
Army West Point led all teams with nine All-League selections. Taylor Brown (INF) and Katelyn Flanders (P) joined White on the First Team. Annie Christiana and Sienna Tepley (OF), Caitlyn Newburn (DP), Emma Murchison (C), Breanna Izzo (P) and Maaika Dones (At-Large) were named to the Second Team.
Lehigh had six total selections. First Team picks included Peyton Sward (INF), Rory Dudley (OF), Maddy Schmeiser (DP) and Fricker. Julia Mrochko (INF) and Helen Woloshyn (OF) earned Second Team honors.
Boston University placed five on the First Team: Megan Coyle (INF), Kylie Doherty (OF), Libby Walsh (At-Large), along with Ricard and Deppiesse.
Bucknell had two players earn Second Team honors: Brooke Popella (INF) and Savannah Jones (P).
