BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy collected three of the five Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Monday. Holy Cross and Lafayette each received one weekly honor.
Navy senior attack Mac Haley collected Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors after totaling 12 points on six goals and six assists in the Midshipmen’s wins over No. 10/11 Penn State and VMI.
Teammate and senior AJ Marsh was honored as the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after tallying seven ground balls and three caused turnovers in Navy’s victories.
For the second time this season, Lafayette junior Nick Faccone was selected as the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Faceoff Specialist of the Week. Faccone went 26-for-35 (.740) at the faceoff ‘X’ and scooped up 11 ground balls in the Leopards’ 1-1 week.
Navy senior Dan Daly earned Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week recognition after making 10 saves to help the Midshipmen upset No. 10/11 Penn State.
Holy Cross’ Aedan Cassidy was named Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week as the freshman recorded four goals, three caused turnovers and four ground balls in the Crusaders’ 12-5 win over Le Moyne.
Honorable mentions went to Army West Point senior goalkeeper Sean Byrne and senior attack Gunnar Fellows, Boston University junior short-stick defensive midfielder Luke Davis, Bucknell freshman midfielder Sean Murray, Holy Cross freshman faceoff specialist Shane McDonnell, Lafayette Jett Klassen, Lehigh senior defender Richard Checo, Loyola Maryland sophomore attack Mason Cook and senior goalkeeper Max Watkinson.

*Haley led Navy with 12 points on six goals and six assists in wins over #10/11 Penn State (12-11) and VMI (19-12) last week.
*The senior recorded a career-high seven points on two goals and five assists in the victory over the Keydets.
*The Shady Side, Md. native tallied Navy’s final three goals in the upset of the Nittany Lions and added a career-high four assists.
*Haley ranks third in the Patriot League in points per game (4.75), fourth in assists per game (2.00) and ninth in goals per game (2.75).
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
AJ Marsh, Navy, Jr., Defender, Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh School
*Marsh caused three turnovers and scooped up seven ground balls in Navy’s wins over VMI (19-12) and No. 10/11 Penn State (12-11).
*In the upset of the Nittany Lions, the junior held reigning Big Ten Rookie of the Year Hunter Aquino to one goal and one assist. He caused two turnovers, moving into a tie for 16th in program history.
*The Reisterstown, Md. native is tied for ninth in the Patriot League in caused turnovers per game (1.50).
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Faceoff Specialist of the Week
Nick Faccone, Lafayette, Jr., FO, Warren, N.J./Delbarton
*Faccone collected his second weekly award of the season after going 26-for-35 (.740) at the ‘X’ with 11 ground balls in Lafayette’s 1-1 week.
*In the victory over Mt. St. Mary’s (19-5), the junior went 14-for-16 on faceoffs and added six ground balls.
*The Warren, N.J. native won 12 faceoffs to go along with five ground balls against Drexel.
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week
Dan Daly, Navy, Sr., GK, Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills
*Daly finished with 10 saves, including three stops in the fourth quarter, to help Navy knock off No. 10/11 Penn State, 12-11, on Saturday.
*The Wayne, N.J. native became only the 11th goalkeeper in program history to reach 400 career saves.
*The senior made one save in 10 minutes of action against VMI on Tuesday.
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
Aedan Cassidy, Holy Cross, Fr., A, Chevy Chase, Md./Landon
*Cassidy led Holy Cross to a 12-5 victory over Le Moyne with a team-high four goals, three caused turnovers and four ground balls.
*The freshman recorded his second hat trick of the season, leading the Crusaders in points (15) and goals (11).

*Fellows produced a game-high four goals and an assist to lead Army West Point to a 13-11 win at Michigan on Saturday.
*The senior ranks 18th on Army West Point’s career goals list (95) and 28th in career points (125).

*Davis recorded a career-best five caused turnovers and had two ground balls in Boston University’s loss to Yale (16-11).
