Patriot League Baseball Players of the Week Announced (4.13.26)

Army West Point’s Scott and Navy’s Grenn receive weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point freshman Mason Scott was selected as Patriot League Baseball Player and Rookie of the Week when the League office announced honors Monday. Navy senior right-handed pitcher Tyler Grenn earned Patriot League Pitcher of the Week.
 
Army West Point’s Scott collected Patriot League Baseball Player and Rookie of the Week honors for the first time. He batted .538 (7-for-13) with seven RBIs to help the Black Knights go 3-2 last week, including three wins against Lehigh.  
 
Navy’s Grenn tossed 8.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in a 1-0, 11-inning victory over Lafayette to earn his first Patriot League Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
 
Bucknell freshman RHP Brady Hoar and senior LF/3B Michael Trommer, Holy Cross senior OF CJ Egrie and sophomore RHP Brett Mulligan, Lafayette junior catcher Brandon Doubek and freshman RHP Gregory Quintana, Lehigh senior 1B Trystan Crawford and Navy freshman 1B/DH Patrick Walsh received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

*Scott batted .538 (7-for-13) while slugging .615 and reaching base at a .700 clip to help Army West Point go 3-2 last week, including taking three of four games against Lehigh.
*The freshman third baseman drove in seven runs and scored four times, while hitting one double and walking six times.
*He went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored in the Black Knights’ 20-5 win over Lehigh on Friday.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Tyler Grenn, Navy, Sr., RHP, Sherman Oaks, Calif./Crespi Carmelite
*Grenn tossed 8.1 scoreless innings, scattering six hits and walking one while striking out seven batters in Navy’s 1-0 victory over Lafayette in 11 innings in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
*The senior right-hander did not allow an extra-base hit and worked into the ninth inning with 95 pitches despite not factoring in the decision.
*He has a 0.45 ERA in six Patriot League outings.

Brady Hoar, Bucknell, Fr., RHP, Tampa, Fla./Jesuit
*Hoar went 2-0 last week in two starts, allowing six runs on 11 hits over 12.0 innings against Lafayette (13-7) and Holy Cross (12-4). The freshman right-hander struck out 10 batters and walked two.
 
Michael Trommer, Bucknell, Sr., LF/3B, Trevose, Pa./Archbishop Wood
*Trommer batted .318 (7-for-22) with two home runs, five RBIs and six runs to help Bucknell go 3-3 last week, including splitting four games with Holy Cross.
 
CJ Egrie, Holy Cross, Sr., OF, Ventnor City, N.J./Holy Spirit
*Egrie batted. 368 (7-for-19) while reaching base at a .586 clip to help Holy Cross go 3-2 last week, splitting a four-game series with Bucknell. Egrie scored eight runs in six games. He went 3-for-4 with two runs in a 14-5 win over the Bison on Friday.
 
Brett Mulligan, Holy Cross, So., RHP, Quincy, Mass./Catholic Memorial
*Mulligan earned the win in Holy Cross’ 7-5 victory over Bucknell, tossing five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out three. He also tossed one scoreless inning in the Crusaders’ 6-5 win over Stonehill last week.
 
Brandon Doubek, Lafayette, Jr., C, Maplewood, N.J./Columbia
*Doubek batted .333 (7-for-21) and slugged .619 during the Leopards’ six-game week. He hit two home runs and drove in two runs. He went 3-for-4 with two home runs in a 13-7 loss against Bucknell on Monday.
 
Gregory Quintana, Lafayette, Fr., RHP, Haymarket, Va./Paul VI
*Quintana tossed 7.0 scoreless innings, scattering six hits and striking out six in Lafayette’s 1-0 loss in 11 innings against Navy.
 
Trystan Crawford, Lehigh, Sr., 1B, Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia
*Crawford batted .526 (10-for-19), slugged .895 and reached base at a .609 clip during Lehigh’s five-game week. He hit one home run, doubled four times, drove in four and scored three times. The senior first baseman went 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored in a 9-7 win over Army on Sunday.
 
Patrick Walsh, Navy, Fr., IF/DH, Huntersville, N.C./Christ the King Catholic
*Walsh batted .500 (8-for-16), slugged .700 and posted a .619 on-base percentage with four doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored to help Navy go 4-1 last week, including a four-game sweep over Lafayette.
