BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Colgate claimed all three Patriot League softball weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Monday.
Colgate junior outfielder Nora Megenity was named Patriot League Player of the Week after batting .500 (9-for-18) with four home runs, seven RBIs and seven runs scored in a 4–1 week, helping the Raiders clinch a berth in the Patriot League Championship.
Colgate first-year pitcher Kelcie McGraw earned Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honors after going 3–0 with a save and a 1.40 ERA, striking out 17 over 20.1 innings with three complete games, including a nine-strikeout performance in a win at Lafayette.
Colgate first-year infielder Marina Taveras was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Week after batting .444 (8-for-18) with two home runs, three RBIs and five runs scored, highlighted by a game-winning home run in a 1–0 victory at Lafayette to complete the sweep.
Army West Point’s Ashton White and Breanna Izzo, Boston University’s Kylie Doherty, Lehigh’s Kelly Fricker and Madison Finnerty, and Bucknell’s Barbara Jo Coppola earned honorable mention recognition.
The Patriot League softball players of the week are selected in a vote by each school’s head softball coach, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Softball Player of the Week

*She set the program single-season records in home runs (20) and hits (66).

Patriot League Softball Pitcher of the Week

*McGraw went 3–0 with a save and a 1.40 ERA, striking out 17 over 20.1 innings with three complete games.
*She struck out nine in a series-opening win at Lafayette and allowed just three earned runs across two weekend victories.
*McGraw closed a 1–0 win with a strikeout and game-ending double play to secure the save.
Patriot League Softball Rookie of the Week
Marina Taveras, Colgate, Fy., INF, Fort Worth, Tex./Aledo
*Taveras batted .444 (8-for-18) with two home runs, three RBIs and five runs scored in a 4–1 week.
*She hit the game-winning home run in a 1–0 victory at Lafayette to complete the sweep.
*Taveras broke program freshman records for RBIs (39) and runs scored (43).
Honorable Mentions
Ashton White, Army West Point, Sr., INF, Dothan, Ala./Wicksburg
White batted .471 with seven RBIs, two home runs and a 1.000 slugging percentage in a 3–1 week, breaking Army’s career home run record (26). She also posted a perfect fielding percentage with 12 assists and three putouts.
Kylie Doherty, Boston University, Jr., OF, Bolton, Mass./Nashoba Regional
Doherty hit .462 with four home runs, 11 RBIs and a 1.462 slugging percentage to lead the Terriers to a 4–0 week. She powered the offense with multiple home runs in the sweep of Holy Cross, including two three-run shots in a comeback win.
Kelly Fricker, Lehigh, So., OF, West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin
Fricker batted .462 with six runs and six RBIs, recording a hit and run in all four games. She delivered a go-ahead two-run homer against Georgetown.
Breanna Izzo, Army West Point, Sr., P, Irvine, Calif./Woodbridge
Izzo went 2–0 with a 1.75 ERA over 12.0 innings, striking out eight and surpassing 300 career strikeouts. She tossed a complete game in a win over Saint Peter’s and limited opponents to a .217 average.
Madison Finnerty, Lehigh, So., P, Moorpark, Calif./Moorpark
Finnerty posted a 1.97 ERA across four appearances, earning a win and a save with 4.2 scoreless innings of relief on Sunday. She totaled nine strikeouts over 10.2 innings of work.
Barbara Jo Coppola, Bucknell, Fr., C, Harrison, N.Y./Harrison
Coppola delivered a walk-off RBI double in a 6–5 extra-inning win over Army West Point and hit .375 in the doubleheader. She was perfect defensively behind the plate and threw out all three attempted base stealers.
