BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola Maryland and Navy each collected two Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse weekly award when the League office announced the honors on Monday. Army West Point received the remaining award.
For the second time this season, Navy senior attack Mac Haley was selected as the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. Haley tallied a career-high eight points on three goals and five assists in the Midshipmen’s 20-13 win over Holy Cross.
Army West Point senior defender John Sullivan earned Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week honors after causing four turnovers and collecting two ground balls in the Black Knights’ 14-8 victory over Bucknell.
Navy junior Zach Hayashi was honored as the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Faceoff Specialist of the Week after winning 11-of-19 draws (.611), grabbing a team-high five ground balls and scoring his second goal of the season in Navy’s victory over the Crusaders.
For the second straight week, Loyola Maryland senior Max Watkinson was named the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week. Watkinson made a season-high 17 saves to go along with his first career goal and assist in the Greyhounds’ 19-11 win over Boston University.
Greyhounds’ freshman midfielder Will Musgrove collected his second Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week honors of the season after dishing out two assists and causing a turnover in Loyola Maryland’s victory.
Honorable mentions went to Army West Point senior attack Gunnar Fellows, Colgate junior defender John Carrabine, first-year midfielder Emmet Crotty and sophomore goalkeeper Andrew Lehrman, Lafayette junior faceoff specialist Nick Faccone, Lehigh junior goalkeeper Kasey Heath, Loyola Maryland graduate student defender Joe Houlihan and senior attack Matthew Minicus.

*He helped the Black Knights hold the Bison to two first-half goals and four failed clears.
*The senior ranks sixth in the Patriot League in caused turnovers (17) and seventh in caused turnovers per game (1.55).
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Faceoff Specialist of the Week

*Hayashi won 11-of-19 draws (.611), grabbed a team-high five ground balls and scored his second goal of the season in Navy’s 20-13 victory over Holy Cross.
*The junior ranks second at Navy with 363 career faceoff wins and is tied for seventh in ground balls (184) in 35 games.
*The North Potomac, Md. native is fifth in the Patriot League in faceoff wins (86) and faceoff win percentage (.551).

*Watkinson, the reigning Goalkeeper of the Week, made a season-high 17 saves and led Loyola Maryland’s defense that held Boston University to .193 shooting in Saturday’s 19-11 victory.
*The senior recorded his first career point with an assist in the first quarter before scoring his first career goal in the second period.
*The Baltimore, Md. native leads the Patriot League in saves (145), ranks second in saves per game (13.18) and third in save percentage (.527).
Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

*Musgrove dished out a pair of assists and caused a turnover to help Loyola Maryland earn a 19-11 victory over Boston University.
