WEST POINT, N.Y. – Top-seeded Army West Point (12-3, 6-2 PL) and No. 2 Loyola Maryland (10-5, 6-2 PL) will meet on Sunday, May 3, in the 2026 Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Championship Game at the Black Knights’ Michie Stadium.

Live coverage of Sunday’s 2026 Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Championship contest begins at noon on CBS Sports Network. Dave Ryan and Evan Washburn will be on the call, with the Patriot League’s Paige Messier reporting from the sideline.

Army West Point, which has now advanced to the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Championship Game for the 10th time in program history, will look to capture its 11th Patriot League title overall and fourth since the tournament format began in 2004. Loyola Maryland is back in the title game for the seventh time since joining the Patriot League in 2014 as the Greyhounds seek their fifth crown and first since 2018.

The Black Knights and Greyhounds will battle for the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse title for the fourth time, with Army West Point earning the victory in the most recent meeting in 2023, while Loyola Maryland won the matchups in 2016 and 2017.

SERIES HISTORY – Army West Point and Loyola Maryland will meet for the 21st time in series history, with the Black Knights owning an 11-9 advantage, including wins the last seven meetings dating back to 2022.

The two teams will face off in the Patriot League title for the fourth time, with Loyola Maryland leading the series 2-1 after winning back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017. The Black Knights claimed the title in 2023 with a 10-8 victory at Nickerson Field in Boston, Mass.

REGULAR-SEASON MEETING (April 18 – Army West Point 15, Loyola Maryland 9 - BOX SCORE) – Army West Point picked up a 15-9 road win over Loyola Maryland back on April 18 as the Black Knights featured nine different goal scorers.

Black Knights’ sophomore attack Brayden Fountain matched the game-high with four goals, while sophomore attack Hill Plunkett (two assists), sophomore midfielder Aiden Weisenborn (one assist) and senior attack Gunnar Fellows each scored twice. Two-time Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year senior Sean Byrne finished with nine saves and one ground ball.

Loyola Maryland senior attack Matthew Minicus paced the Greyhounds with five points on four goals and one assist, while five other players supplied a goal. Senior goalkeeper Max Watkinson totaled 12 saves.

Loyola Maryland’s Mason Cook Sets Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Tournament Single-Game Goals Record
*On Friday night in No. 2 Loyola Maryland’s 13-8 win over No. 5 Colgate, the Greyhounds’ sophomore attack Mason Cook set the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Tournament single-game record for goals with seven.

Across 15 games this season, the Towson, Md. native ranks second in NCAA Division I with 58 goals and 3.87 goals per game.
