BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Boston University clinched the 2026 Patriot League regular-season title—its seventh overall—and will host the 2026 Patriot League Softball Championship as the No. 1 seed beginning Thursday, May 7, in Boston, Mass.

The Terriers finished League play at 16-2, marking their fourth season with at least 16 Patriot League wins since joining the League in 2014. They enter the championship on a nine-game winning streak.

Colgate secured the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Championship with an 13-5 League record, posting its best League finish since going 16-3 in 2011 and earning its first postseason berth since 2022.

Army West Point claimed the No. 3 seed with an 12-6 League record, as the Black Knights look to return to the Patriot League Softball Championship game for the second consecutive season.

Lafayette earned the No. 4 seed and its first postseason berth since 2012 after clinching a series victory against Lehigh to earn the final spot in the 2026 Patriot League Softball Championship.

Top-seeded Boston University will face No. 4 Lafayette at noon on Thursday, followed by No. 2 Colgate vs. No. 3 Army West Point at 2:30 p.m. The three-day, double-elimination tournament will be held at the BU Softball Field, with all games streamed on ESPN+.
