BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced a record 4,152 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Academic Honor Roll, including 2,806 on the Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll. The League improved by 105 members from the 2024-25 academic year.
Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the academic honor roll for achieving a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) or better during the semester in which their League champion is crowned. The 2025-26 season marks the second straight academic year in which the Patriot League topped 4,000 honor roll selections with 1,346 student-athletes named to the fall academic honor roll.
The Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes from the 15 sports, which conduct their League championship during the spring semester, including baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field, women’s rowing and softball. The Fall Academic Honor Roll includes student-athletes from men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.
During the 2025-26 academic year, 2,254 women were recognized across 12 sports, while 1,898 men were honored across 10 sports. Patriot League women’s track and field teams placed a League-high 437 student-athletes on the honor roll, while men’s track and field (328), women’s rowing (321) and men’s lacrosse (305) ranked second, third and fourth, respectively, during the winter and spring seasons. Women’s lacrosse (279), women’s swimming and diving (247) and men’s swimming and diving (205) all placed 200 or more student-athletes on the honor roll. Baseball (125), women’s basketball (110), softball (103), men’s basketball (100), women’s tennis (78), men’s tennis (77), men’s golf (49) and women’s golf (45) completed the contributions to the winter-spring honor roll.
Bucknell recorded a League-high 570 student-athletes on the academic honor roll, including a League-best 376 during the winter and spring seasons. Lafayette ranked second with 472 honorees, followed closely by Lehigh (471) in third, while Holy Cross (449) and Colgate (453) were fourth and fifth, respectively. Boston University (381), Loyola Maryland (346), Navy (336), American (251) and Army West Point (211) rounded out the League’s 10 full-member institutions.
Associate members Georgetown (87), Fordham (58), Richmond (34) and MIT (33) contributed to the League’s 4,152 honorees during the 2025-26 academic year.
