The Bucknell Bison captured the 2000-01 Presidents' Cup for the
third-straight year and eighth time in the 11-year history of the
Presidents' Cup.
The Presidents' Cup is awarded annually to the institution that
accumulates the highest point total over the course of the academic-athletic
year. Points are awarded based upon tournament finishes by each institution,
or if there is no post-season tournament in a particular sport, football
and men's lacrosse do not contest League championships, then points are
awarded based upon ther regular-season standings. Institutions that do not
compete in Patriot League competition within a particular sport do not
receive any points for that sport. The League tabulates the standings three
times a year: January, March and May.
