Charlotte Rath Joins Patriot League as Administrative Intern

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League has announced the hiring of Charlotte Rath as Administrative Intern. Rath joins the Patriot League after being a four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain on the Lafayette women’s lacrosse team.  
 
In her role with the League, Rath will serve as the primary communication contact for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming & diving and women’s rowing. Additionally, Rath a former Patriot League Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) member, will continue her involvement with SAAC from the League office. She will also assist members of the League’s championship and compliance staff with events and special projects.
 
“The leadership qualities that Charlotte displayed during her exceptional career as a student-athlete at Lafayette make her a great addition to the League office,” Patriot League Commissioner Jennifer Heppel said. “We look forward to working with her and know she will bring great insight to our continual focus on enhancing and celebrating the Patriot League student-athlete experience.”
 
At Lafayette, Rath excelled both on and off the lacrosse field. Academically, she was named to the Dean’s List, Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, Sigma Iota Rho National Collegiate International Studies Honor Society and the Student Athlete Honor Roll each of the past six semesters.
 
Rath, a four-year starter with the Leopards’ women’s lacrosse program, sits ninth in League history in caused turnovers with 70 and was 10th in the conference in groundballs per game in 2017 with 2.29 per contest.
 
Rath was active in the campus community during her time on College Hill, participating in several campus organizations including SAAC, Student-Athlete Peer Mentor program, and Commencement Gift Committee.  Within the athletic department she earned the role of Leader of Distinction from Lafayette’s Oaks Leadership Academy, an organization which develops student-athletes into future community leaders.  Rath’s accolades also include Lafayette College Class of 1913 Trophy Finalist and Lafayette College Maroon Club Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Finalist. 
 
Rath, a Greenville, Del. native and 2017 Lafayette College graduate, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs with a minor in Spanish.
