CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Navy claimed two of the three Patriot League Baseball Weekly Awards, after going 4-0 last week, as senior outfielder Logan Knowles picked up his first Patriot League Player of the Week honor this season, while junior RHP Noah Song earned his second Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
Lehigh freshman RHP Peter Woltersdorf also earned up his second Patriot League Rookie of the Week award of the season.
Lafayette senior right fielder Luke Robinson, Bucknell senior RHP Connor Van Hoose and Holy Cross sophomore shortstop Chris Rinaldi each garnered a place on the League’s weekly honorable mention list.
LEHIGH FRESHMEN PITCHERS COMBINE TO NO-HIT SAINT PETER’S
Lehigh freshmen right-handed pitchers Peter Woltersdorf and Matt Svanson combined to no-hit Saint Peter’s on Wednesday afternoon at Walker Field. Woltersdorf earned the victory, pitching 6.0 innings of no-hit ball, while striking out six, before Svanson tossed the final 3.0 innings, striking out three and walking one, to earn the save. It was the Mountain Hawks first combined no-hitter since February 28, 2015, when Nick Macaione and Kevin Boswick combined to no-hit Iona in 11 innings.
LAFAYETTE’S LUKE ROBINSON HITS FOR CYCLE VS. NAVY
Lafayette senior right fielder Luke Robinson hit for the cycle in the Leopards 10-9 loss to Navy on Sunday afternoon. Robinson singled in the first inning, tripled in the fourth inning, hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and then doubled in the eighth. He scored three times, while driving in four in the loss.
JACOB HURTUBISE TIES PATRIOT LEAGUE SINGLE-GAME STOLEN BASE RECORD
Sophomore outfielder Jacob Hurtubise set an Army West Point single-game record and tied the Patriot League record, going 6-for-6 on stolen base attempts in the first game of the Black Knights Saturday doubleheader with Bucknell. His six stolen bases tied Fordham’s Brian Sullivan’s mark set against Lehigh on April 27, 1991. Hurtubise currently leads NCAA Division I with 22 stolen bases. He’s 22-for-23 through 27 games.
ARMY WEST POINT AND HOLY CROSS ATOP THE PATRIOT LEAGUE STANDINGS
The Black Knights lost its first two League games of the season, while Holy Cross swept Lehigh to move into a first-place tie at 5-2 in League play. Navy’s three-game sweep of Lafayette helped them move to third at 7-4, while the Bison move to 4-7, after taking a pair of games from Army West Point. Lafayette falls to fifth-place at 2-4, while the Mountain Hawks round out the standings at 1-5 through two full weekends of League games.
PATRIOT LEAGUE LEADERS AMONG NCAA LEADERS
*Navy junior RHP Noah Song is fourth in NCAA DI with two complete games.
*Navy senior OF Logan Knowles is 11th in the nation with 34 runs, while sophomore infielder Jacob Williamson is 29th in the nation with 33 RBIs.
*Army West Point sophomore outfielder Josh Hurtubise leads NCAA DI with 22 stolen bases.
*Song is ninth in the nation with 66 strikeouts, while Bucknell senior RHP Connor Van Hoose is 22nd with 58.
*Navy’s Stephen Born and Lafayette’s Luke Robinson are tied for third in the nation with five triples apiece.

The six Patriot League baseball programs are scheduled to play 16 games between Tuesday, April 3 and Sunday, April 8, including six midweek games. PATRIOT LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Logan Knowles, Navy, OF, Sr., Port Orchard, Wash./South Kitsap
Knowles batted .529 (9-for-17), while scoring 10 runs and driving in six with two doubles to help Navy go 4-0 last week. The senior outfielder slugged .647, with an on-base percentage of .600. He also walked three times and went 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts. Knowles had three multi-hit games against the Leopards, combining to go 8-for-13 with seven runs and four RBIs. He went 3-for-5 with three runs and two stolen bases in the Mids 10-9 11-inning win on Sunday afternoon.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Noah Song, Navy, RHP, Jr., Claremont, Calif./Claremont
Song tossed a 7.0-inning, complete-game, one-hit shutout to earn a 6-0 victory over Lafayette on Saturday. The junior right-hander notched his third double-digit strikeout performance of the season with 15. Song’s lone hit allowed came to the second batter of the game, who he picked off later in the inning. It was his third career one-hitter.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Peter Woltersdorf, Lehigh, RHP, Fr., Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional
Woltersdorf tossed 6.0 innings of a combined no-hitter against Saint Peter’s, striking out six, to earn his second victory of the season. The freshman right-hander combined with fellow freshman Matt Svanson for the fifth no-hitter in program history and the first by freshmen. Woltersdorf made two relief appearances combining for one scoreless inning with two hits against Lafayette and Holy Cross.
HONORABLE MENTION
Luke Robinson, Lafayette, OF, Sr., St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis University High School
Robinson batted .524 (11-for-21) with eight runs, seven RBIs, one double, three triples and a home run in the Leopards’ 2-3 week. He slugged 1.000, while reaching base at a .583 clip. The senior outfielder went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs in an 8-7 win over Lehigh last Monday. He went 2-for-4 with two runs in a win over Villanova on Tuesday. Robinson concluded the weekend hitting for the cycle with a 4-for-6, three-run four-RBI performance in a 10-9 loss to the Mids.
Connor Van Hoose, Bucknell, RHP, Sr., Alexandria, Va./Gonzaga
Van Hoose allowed one run on one hit over 6.0 innings, while striking out 14 batters against Army West Point, to earn his third victory of the season. The Black Knights’ leadoff hitter as hit by a Van Hoose pitch, before stealing two bases and scoring on a ground out for the lone run charged to the senior right-hander. He gave up his lone hit in the fourth inning.
Chris Rinaldi, Holy Cross, INF., So., Westfield, N.J./Westfield
Rinaldi batted .615 (8-for-13), while slugging .923 and reaching base at a .667 clip to help Holy Cross go 3-1, while sweeping its three-game series from Lehigh. The sophomore infielder combined to go 6-for-9 with three doubles, two runs and two RBIs during Saturday’s doubleheader with the Mountain Hawks. He went 1-for-1 with a double, one stolen base and three RBIs in Sunday’s win.
