CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The nine Patriot League men’s lacrosse teams combined to place 319 student-athletes on the sport’s Academic Honor Roll, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Colgate led the League with 43 honorees, followed by Lehigh with 41 student-athletes and Boston University (39). Lafayette placed 38 players on the list while Bucknell and Holy Cross added 37 representatives from each institution. Loyola Maryland had 33 honorees as Navy and Army West Point rounded out the list with 26 and 25 representatives, respectively.
Forty-four men’s lacrosse student-athletes achieved a 4.00 GPA or higher this past semester: Army West Point junior Gregory Coleman; Boston University freshman Charlie Heinz, senior Chase Levesque, senior Joe McSorley and freshman Max Tetreault; Bucknell junior J.J. Alicea, freshman Jack Billitier, senior Matt Fedorjaka, senior Hunter Newman and freshman Ethan Opdahl; Colgate sophomore Thor Adamec, freshman Conner Brook, junior Owen Callahan, sophomore Luke Hunziker, senior Jesse Rosenblatt, freshman Adam Salvaggio, and sophomore Aidan Toomey.
Holy Cross senior Dan O’Connell; Lafayette senior Chris Adamo, freshman Gunnar Bogorowski, freshman Ryan Duncan, freshman Macklin Fitzpatrick, freshman Evan Lotz, freshman Nick Luzzo, freshman Will Moran, junior Andrew Robbins, and sophomore Braedon Rupp; Lehigh junior Teddy Leggett, senior Austin Pierce, senior Daniel Rivera, and sophomore Mike Sisselberger; Loyola Maryland sophomore Jack Decker, junior Joey Kamish, junior Kyle LaBlanc, Corey Millhouse, junior Aidan Olmstead, senior John Railey, junior Bailey Savio, senior Peter Swindell, sophomore Freeman Whitaker, and junior Dan Wigley; and Navy sophomore Ryan Chase, freshman Kyle Fairbank and freshman Harry Rentz all recorded a 4.00 GPA or higher as well.
Twenty Patriot League men’s lacrosse student-athletes made the academic honor roll for the fourth time, highlighted by Levesque, McSorley, Pierce, Railey and Swindell. The four-time member squad also includes Boston senior Nicholas Ellerton, Colgate seniors Cooper Belanger and Lewis Langford, Holy Cross’ trio of seniors Tim Fisher, Sean New and Jonathan Tesoro, Lafayette seniors Adam Close, Jason Corcoran and Robbie Garavente, Lehigh seniors Austin Clibanoff, Erik DiGirolamo, Conor Gaffney, Parker Kent, and Christian McHugh, and Loyola senior Logan Devereaux.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
