The recent tragedies in Kenosha, Wis., have reminded us again that our society is affected by racism and injustice. Together, the Patriot League Anti-Racism Commission stands alongside our Black and Brown student-athletes, coaches, staff, and community members with the knowledge that any threat to them is a threat to us all. Sport and society do not exist in a vacuum and in this moment in history it is important to demonstrate that it can no longer go without notice, without action, without change.
 
The Commission pledges to create positive societal change, to listen, embrace, and lift each other up, knowing our strength and compassion exists because it is shared. Our commitment is to use our collective anger and frustration to exude hope and take action on our campuses and in our communities.
