Patriot League Announces Volleyball Players of the Week (3.22.21)

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Loyola Maryland junior libero Katie Forsythe earned Patriot League Women's Volleyball Player of the Week when the League office announced weekly volleyball honors on Monday. Lehigh freshman outside hitter Lylah Washington was named rookie of the week.

Army West Point freshman opposite hitter Allanah Cutler and senior setter Hannah Pressley, and Colgate senior libero Bridget Kolsky and freshman middle blocker Harper Snyder all earned honorable mentions.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Forsythe, Loyola Maryland, Jr., L, Perry, Ohio/Gilmour Academy
* Forsythe had 10 kills and 21 digs as she started as an outside hitter for the Greyhounds, as Loyola beat American for the first time since 1992.
* On Sunday, she returned to her libero spot and just missed her third career match with 40 or more kills, posting 39 against Lehigh.
* She is fifth nationally with 6.05 digs per set this season, while her 39 digs yesterday are sixth-most in a Division I match this year.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Lylah Washington, Lehigh, Fr., OH, San Antonio, Texas, Ronald Reagan
* Washington finished with a career-high 19 kills and 13 digs for her first career double-double and added two blocks in Sunday's 3-2 win against Loyola Maryland.
* In the Mountain Hawks' 3-match win streak, the freshman averaged four kills per set.

Allanah Cutler, Army West Point, Fr., OPP, Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Polytechnic
* Cutler had 19 kills and two blocks in Friday's win against Holy Cross, followed by 14 kills on a .281 hitting percentage and two blocks in Sunday's win.

Hannah Pressley, Army West Point, Sr., S, Tracy, Calif./Tracy
* Pressley had 53 assists in Army's win over Holy Cross on Friday, followed by 41 assists in the Black Knights' Sunday win over the Crusaders.
 
Bridget Kolsky, Colgate, Sr., L, Pacific Palisades, Calif./Marlborough School
* Kolsky recorded a pair of 20-plus dig performances for a total of 42 over the weekend against Lafayette. With her defensive performance, Kolsky moved into fifth in program history with her 1,221 career digs.
 
Harper Snyder, Colgate, Fr., MB, Kansas City, MO./Lee's Summit
* Snyder totaled six total blocks on the weekend, including three each match against Lafayette. The freshman also added 15 total kills, including a season-high of nine on Friday while swinging for a .375 hitting percentage.
