BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point collected the Patriot League regular-season title for the second-consecutive season and will be the top seed in the four-team field for the upcoming 2023 Patriot League Baseball Championship. Bucknell earned the No. 2 seed for the second straight season, with Navy and Lafayette claiming the third and fourth seeds, respectively.
The top-seeded Black Knights (34-15, 21-4 PL) will host No. 4 Lafayette (14-35, 10-15 PL) at Johnson Stadium at Doubleday Field in West Point, N.Y. when the best-of-three game semifinal series begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 13.
No. 2 Bucknell (21-21-1, 14-11 PL) welcomes No. 3 Navy (23-25, 14-11 PL) to Depew Field in Lewisburg, Pa. The Bison and Mids begin their best-of-three game series on Saturday, May 13 with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
The semifinal-round winners will advance to the best two-of-three Patriot League Championship Series, scheduled from May 19-21 at the home site of the highest remaining seed. The winner of the championship series will receive the Patriot League’s automatic berth to the NCAA Baseball Regionals.
