BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell leads the Patriot League Presidents’ Cup standings after the fall sports champions were crowned, with Boston University, Colgate, Army West Point and Lehigh making up the top five in the overall standings.
The Bison collected 48.25 points toward the Presidents’ Cup during the fall, claiming the men’s soccer title while finishing in the top three in field hockey, football, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.
Boston University ranked second in the overall standings with 39.25 points after winning the women’s soccer championship. The Terriers also earned a share of the men’s soccer regular-season title and placed second and third in women’s and men’s cross country, respectively.
Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Champion Colgate (36), Army West Point (35), who earned the League’s women’s cross-country crown, finished third and fourth. Lehigh (33.75), who won a share of the League’s football title, is fifth through the fall. American (30.25), defending Presidents’ Cup Champion Navy (28.25), Holy Cross (22.5), Lafayette (22.5) and Loyola Maryland (19.5) completed the overall standings.
Bucknell leads the men’s standings with 19.75 points, with the Mountain Hawks (18.25), Boston University (16.5), Colgate (16) and League football co-champion Holy Cross (13) making up the top five.
The Bison also sit atop the women’s Presidents’ Cup standings with 28.5 points. Army West Point (25), Boston University (22.75), Colgate (20) and American (18.5) are third through fifth at the end of the fall season.
The Patriot League Presidents' Cup points are awarded based on a team's performances in the regular and postseason Patriot League standings. In cross country, golf, rowing, swimming and diving, and track and field, the points are awarded based on the final team finish at the Patriot League Championship. Points for football are based on the final regular-season standings.
