No. 2 Lehigh hosts No. 6 Lafayette in Saturday’s Patriot League title game

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — No. 2 Lehigh (9-5-5, 5-1-3 PL) welcomes rival No. 6 Lafayette (8-6-6, 3-2-4 PL) to the Ulrich Sports Complex for the 2025 Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Men’s Soccer Championship Game.
 
Coverage begins at 6 p.m. on ESPN+, with Nic Severini on the call and Patriot League multimedia journalist Paige Messier providing color analysis.
 
This marks the fifth meeting between Lehigh and Lafayette in the Patriot League Men’s Soccer Championship, with Lafayette holding the series lead at 2-1-1 and both teams having two championships.
 
Lehigh aims to capture its first Championship title since defeating Lafayette in 2019, while the Leopards seek their first crown since 2012.
 
Lafayette also looks to become just the second No. 6 seed to win the Patriot League Men’s Soccer Championship, a feat last accomplished by Colgate in 2017. The League adopted its current six-team playoff format in 2013.

Lehigh – Lafayette Championship Game History: Lehigh and Lafayette will meet for the fifth time in the Patriot League Championship Game. Lafayette won the first matchup in 1998 (2-0), before Lehigh earned their first championship against their rival in 2000 with a 1-1 draw and a 5-3 penalty-kick victory.
