WASHINGTON, D.C. – No. 1 American (23-4, 15-1 PL) and No. 3 Army West Point (19-8, 11-5 PL) advanced to the 2025 Patriot League Volleyball Championship Match, presented by Credit Union 1, following victories over No. 5 Navy and No. 2 Colgate, respectively, on Friday.
The Eagles and Black Knights will battle for the League title and an automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship on Sunday, Nov. 23, at Bender Arena on the campus of American University in Washington, D.C.

In today’s first semifinal, four-time defending Patriot League champion Colgate (18-10, 13-3 PL) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set, but Army West Point avenged last year’s postseason loss to advance to its second straight title match.
In the nightcap, the Eagles handled Navy (13-14, 8-8 PL) in three sets to advance to Sunday’s title match.

*The Black Knights are back in the title match for the second straight season and seek their first title since the 2020-21 campaign.
*Senior outside hitter Mackenzie Lynch led Army West Point with a team-high 25 kills, eight digs and three total blocks.
*Fellow senior outside hitter Chloe Murakami posted a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs, while sophomore middle blocker Michelle Parker added 14 kills on a .478 hitting percentage.
*Junior setter Juliette Myrick (34 assists, 15 digs) and sophomore setter Naomi Chinchar (22 assists, 14 digs) each recorded a double-double. Sophomore libero Nicole Stroud finished with 17 digs, six assists and two aces.
*Freshman middle blocker Corrine Blackburn and freshman outside hitter Janie Deapen added seven kills apiece.
*Colgate was paced by junior outside hitter Milan Bayless, who delivered a career-high 26 kills along with five digs, four blocks and an ace.
*Sophomore right-side hitter Tiana Owens contributed 16 kills, six digs, three blocks and three aces.
*Junior setter Ava Schabes tallied a double-double on 24 assists and 13 digs, while senior libero Rachel Martinez added 14 digs and nine assists.
*Junior setter Deren Cukur finished with 22 assists and eight digs.
* The Black Knights held a 6–5 edge in aces, but the Raiders tied a Patriot League Championship single-match record with 20 blocks (seven solo, 13 assists) compared to Army West Point’s 10.

*The 2025 Patriot League Player & Setter of the Year, Deniz Dakak, had a double-double with 28 assists and 14 digs to go with four blocks, two kills and an ace
*The 2025 Patriot League Libero of the Year, Bella Marrero, logged 11 digs, six assists and two aces.
*The 2025 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, Sophie Dufour, finished with nine kills, six digs and an ace
*Junior middle blocker Prinzez Zeck contributed six kills, seven blocks and three digs.
*Navy was led by freshman outside hitter Caroline Buffum (two digs, one ace, one block) and freshman middle blocker Siena Morgan (one dig, one block), who each had six kills.
*Senior outside hitter Anuhea Hauanio-Lore added five kills, eight digs and two assists. Junior setter Arleigh Hanson finished with 13 assists and eight digs.
*American held the advantages in hitting percentage (.257-.061), aces (7-2) and blocks (14-3).
