BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell remains atop the 2024-25 Patriot League Presidents’ Cup standings through the winter championship season after the completion of 13 of the League’s 24 sponsored sports. Army West Point is second, with 10-time defending Presidents’ Cup winner Navy in third place.
The Bison have compiled 90.5 points through the winter championship season after earning a share of the men’s basketball regular-season crown with trips to the semifinal round in men’s and women’s basketball. Bucknell also posted a third-place finish in women’s swimming and diving and a fourth-place finish in men’s indoor track and field.
Army West Point ranked second in the overall standings with 84.5 points. The Black Knights won the men’s swimming and diving crown, posted second-place finishes in women’s swimming and diving and men’s indoor track and field and advanced to the championship game in women’s basketball.
Navy is third in the overall standings with 78.25 points through the winter season after winning titles in women’s swimming and diving and men’s indoor track and field. The Mids also finished second in women’s indoor track and field and men’s swimming and diving. They also advanced to the Patriot League Men’s Basketball Championship Game. Boston University (77.5) and Lehigh (66.75) round out the overall top five.
Bucknell sits atop the men’s standings with 41.25 points, while Navy (37.75), Boston University (35), Army West Point (33.5) and Lehigh (29.25) make up at the end of the winter season.
Army West Point leads the women’s Presidents’ Cup field with 51 points entering the spring season. Bucknell (49.25) is close behind in second place, with Boston University (42.5), Navy (40.5) and Lehigh (37.5) in the top half of the standings.
Patriot League Presidents’ Cup points are awarded based on a team’s performances in the regular-season and postseason Patriot League standings. In cross country, golf, rowing, swimming and diving, and track and field, the points are awarded based on the final team finish at the Patriot League Championship. The points for football are based on regular-season standings.
