BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Army West Point junior forward Kya Smith was named the Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while American freshman forward Charlotte Tuhy earned Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the League office on Monday.
Smith earned Patriot League Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, leading Army West Point to a 2–0 week with wins over Holy Cross and American, highlighted by an 18-point, seven-rebound, five-steal performance against the Crusaders.
Tuhy earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after recording her eighth double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds against Navy, then pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds in the matchup with Army West Point.
American sophomore guard Molly Driscoll, Loyola Maryland graduate forward Lex Therien, Navy junior guard Zanai Barnett-Gay and freshman guard Zoe Mesuch, and Lafayette freshman forward Maddison Krug were awarded honorable mentions.
The Patriot League women’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Driscoll scored 13 points with six assists, three steals and a block against Navy, then hit 20 points for the third time this season with four assists and three rebounds against Army West Point.

Therien led Loyola Maryland to a 2–0 week, posting nine points and 10 rebounds with the game-winning assist against Colgate and following with 21 points in a road win at Boston University.
Zanai Barnett-Gay, Navy, Jr., G, Glenn Dale, Md./Riverdale Baptist
Barnett-Gay filled the stat sheet with 24 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals in Navy’s 86–68 win over American, helping the Mids to a three-game win streak.
Zoe Mesuch, Navy, Fr., G, Clintondale, N.Y./Wallkill
Mesuch delivered a strong all-around effort with 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including three three-pointers, in Navy’s win over American. She added four assists and a steal while helping the Mids control the game from the opening tip.
Maddison Krug, Lafayette, Fr., F, North Kingstown, R.I./St. Andrew’s
Krug posted career highs of 18 rebounds and six blocks in Lafayette’s road win at Bucknell, then added eight rebounds, three assists and a steal at Holy Cross.
