Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Players of the Week Announced (3.2.26)

Lehigh’s Whitlock and Bucknell’s Dörries receive weekly accolades

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior guard Nasir Whitlock was named Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Player of the Week when the League office announced its final set of weekly awards for the 2025-26 season on Monday. Bucknell freshman center Amon Dörries earned Rookie of the Week honors.
 
Whitlock captured the Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Player of the Week award for the fourth time after averaging 24.0 points and 5.5 assists on 61.5% (16-of-26) shooting from the field, connecting on 55.6% (5-of-9) from 3-point range to lead Lehigh to wins over American (78-73) and Bucknell (89-79) to clinch the No. 2 seed in the 2026 Patriot League Men’s Basketball Championship.   
 
Dörries was named Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Rookie of the Week for the sixth time this season after averaging 25.5 points and 4.5 rebounds on 64% shooting to help Bucknell go 1-1 last week.  
 
Army West Point junior guard Jaxson Bell, Boston University junior guard Michael McNair, Colgate sophomore guard Ben Tweedy, Holy Cross junior guard/forward Gabe Warren, Lafayette junior guard Mark Butler and Navy senior center Aidan Kehoe were recognized as honorable mentions for their performances last week.
 
The Patriot League men’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s men’s basketball athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*The junior guard scored 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range against the Bison for his eighth 30-point performance of the season.
*He finished with 16 points, four assists and three rebounds in a 78-73 road win against the Eagles on Wednesday.

Amon Dörries, Bucknell, Fr., F/C, Potsdam, Germany/Schul- und Leistungssportzentrum
*Dörries averaged 25.5 points on 64% (21-of-33) shooting from the field to go along with 4.5 rebounds to help the Bison split two games last week.
*The freshman center scored 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Bison to a 75-73 victory over Army West Point.
*He scored 28 points, hitting 12-of-18 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from long range, in a loss at Lehigh for his fourth straight 20-point performance.
 
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Jaxson Bell, Army West Point, So., G, Indianapolis, Ind./North Central
*Bell averaged 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two games to lead the Black Knights. The sophomore guard recorded his second collegiate double-double with 11 points and 10 assists while adding eight rebounds and a career-high five steals in a 75-73 loss to Bucknell. He scored a game-high 22 points in a loss at Lafayette.
 
Michael McNair, Boston University, Jr., G, Temecula, Calif./Linfield Christian
*McNair averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals while connecting on 50% (13-of-26) from the field. The junior guard recorded his third double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 68-65 win over American to help clinch the No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Championship.
 
Ben Tweedy, Colgate, So., G, Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia/The Southport School
*Tweedy averaged 14.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in losses against Lafayette and Navy. He posted his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, while adding eight assists in a 70-69 loss to Lafayette on Wednesday.
 
Gabe Warren, Holy Cross, Jr., G/F, Plano, Texas/John Paul II
*Warren averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in losses against Boston University and Loyola Maryland. The Plano, Texas native scored a career-high 30 points, hitting 10-of-17 from the field to go along with seven rebounds against the Greyhounds.

Mark Butler, Lafayette, Jr., G, Philadelphia, Pa./William Penn Charter
*Butler led the Leopards to wins against Colgate (70-69) and Army West Point (83-77) to clinch a first-round home game in the Patriot League Championship. He posted 21 points and six assists in the regular-season finale against the Black Knights. Butler led Lafayette with 15 points in a win against the Raiders on Wednesday.
 
Aidan Kehoe, Navy, Sr., C, Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills
*Kehoe posted a pair of double-doubles, averaging 13.5 points and 14.0 rebounds on 68.8% (11-of-16) shooting from the field to help the Midshipmen conclude the season on a 13-game winning streak. He finished with 10 points and 16 rebounds in a 78-51 win over Loyola Maryland. He scored 17 points and grabbed 12 boards in an 85-67 win over Colgate.
