Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week Announced (3.30.26)

Bucknell’s Krestinski and Crowley, Loyola Maryland’s Murphy and Ruhnke and Army West Point’s Duffy receive weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell and Loyola Maryland each claimed two weekly awards when the Patriot League announced women’s lacrosse honors on Monday. Army West Point received one accolade.
 
Bucknell senior Megan Krestinski claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Attacker of the Week for the first time after totaling 13 points on nine goals and four assists during the Bison’s 2-0 week. Junior teammate Bella Crowley received Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week after recording a .519 save percentage and a 6.60 goals-against average (GAA) in Bucknell’s wins over Colgate (12-10) and Lehigh (16-3). 
 
Loyola Maryland freshman Mae Murphy was named Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after recording 32 draw controls during the Greyhounds’ 2-0 week, including 17 in a 19-15 win over No. 4 Navy. Greyhounds’ freshman attacker Morgan Ruhnke claimed her first Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week award. She scored three goals in the Greyhounds’ 19-14 upset over No. 4 Navy on Saturday after posting a career-high four goals in a 16-5 win over American.
 
Army West Point senior Brigid Duffy claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Week honors for the fifth time this season and the 16th of her career after recording five goals, one assist, six draw controls, four caused turnovers and four ground balls in the Black Knights’ 22-6 win over Lafayette. 
 
Army West Point senior defender Sarah Chernik and senior attacker Allison Reilly, Boston University junior goalkeeper Natalie Aiosa and junior attacker Izabella Amonte, Bucknell senior defender Jess Leon and senior midfielder Alex Nesbitt, Holy Cross senior goalkeeper Mackenzie Creagh and senior defender Racheli Levy-Smith and Loyola Maryland sophomore attacker Morgan Quade and sophomore midfielder Mim Suares-Jury received honorable mentions.
 
The Patriot League women’s lacrosse players of the week are selected by a vote of League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE ATTACKER OF THE WEEK
Megan Krestinski, Bucknell, Sr., Attack, Bronxville, N.Y./Bronxville
*Krestinski totaled 13 points on nine goals and four assists in Bucknell’s victories over Colgate (12-10) and Lehigh (16-3).
*The senior attack scored the game-winning goal in the Bison’s 12-10 win over the Raiders, finishing with four goals and one assist.
*She tallied eight points with five goals and three assists in addition to three ground balls and two caused turnovers against the Mountain Hawks.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Brigid Duffy, Army West Point, Sr., Midfielder, Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury
*Duffy finished with five goals, one assist, six draw controls, four caused turnovers and four ground balls in Army West Point’s 22-6 victory over Lafayette.
*She helped the Black Knights go 18-for-18 on clears for the team’s fifth straight win.
*Duffy leads the League in goals per game (4.0), ground balls per game (3.4) and caused turnovers per game (2.7).
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mae Murphy, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Defender/Draw Specialist, Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown
*Murphy won 32 draw controls in two games to help the Greyhounds go 2-0 last week.
*She opened the week with 15 draw controls in a 16-5 win over American before recording 17 draw controls against No. 4 Navy. Murphy helped Loyola Maryland win 22-of-35 draws while holding the Mids to their lowest shot total this year (24).
*Her 149 draw controls this season broke the Patriot League single-season rookie record of 146, held by Navy’s Reagan Roelofs.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Bella Crowley, Bucknell, Jr., Goalkeeper, Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield
*Crowley posted a .519 save percentage and a 6.60 goals-against average (GAA) to lead Bucknell to a 2-0 week, with wins over Colgate (12-10) and Lehigh (16-3).
*Against the Raiders, Crowley made seven saves and picked up three ground balls.
*She added seven more saves for a .700 save percentage and picked up four ground balls in Saturday’s win over the Mountain Hawks.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Morgan Ruhnke, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Attack, Portsmouth, N.H./Portsmouth
*Ruhnke scored seven goals to help Loyola Maryland to a 2-0 week, with wins over American (16-5) and No. 4 Navy (19-14).
*The freshman attacker scored a career-high four goals in the Greyhounds’ win against the Eagles.
*She posted a hat trick on four shots to go along with one caused turnover in a victory over the Mids.

Sarah Chernik, Army West Point, Sr., Defender, Milton, Ga./Blessed Trinity Catholic
*Chernik recorded eight draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls in the Black Knights’ 22-6 win over Lafayette. She led a defense that held the Leopards to six goals, their lowest goal total of the season.
 
Allison Reilly, Army West Point, Sr., Attack, Sayville, N.Y./Sayville
*Reilly posted 11 points on four goals and seven assists in Army West Point’s 22-6 victory over Lafayette, helping the Black Knights post their second-highest goal total of the season. She added five draw controls and two ground balls.
 
Natalie Aiosa, Boston University, Jr., Goalkeeper, Catonsville, Md./Mount De Sales
*Aiosa posted a .625 save percentage and a 3.0 GAA in Boston University’s 16-3 win against American. The junior made five saves and held the Eagles scoreless for a stretch of 44 minutes between the second and fourth quarters.
 
Izabella Amonte, Boston University, Jr., Attack, Humarock, Mass./Thayer Academy
*Amonte scored a career-high five goals on six shots in Boston University’s 16-3 victory over American on Saturday.
 
Jess Leon, Bucknell, Sr., Defender, Westport, Conn./Staples
*Leon finished with six ground balls, four caused turnovers and one draw control to help the Bison go 2-0 last week, with wins over Colgate (12-10) and Lehigh (16-3). She finished with three ground balls and two caused turnovers, while helping the Bison defense limit Lehigh to three goals on Saturday.  
 
Alex Nesbitt, Bucknell, Sr., Midfielder, Brooklin, Ontario/The Hill Academy
*Nesbitt scored two goals and dished out one assist to go along with four ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control in Bucknell’s 16-3 win over Lehigh on Saturday. She had one assist, two ground balls and one caused turnover in a 12-10 win over Colgate on Wednesday.
 
Mackenzie Creagh, Holy Cross, Sr., Goalkeeper, Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side
*Creagh made 22 saves with a .423 save percentage last week to help Holy Cross go 1-1, including a 17-13 victory over Colgate on Saturday. The senior goalkeeper made 11 saves and picked up one ground ball against the Raiders.  
 
Racheli Levy-Smith, Holy Cross, Sr., Defender, Margate, N.J./Ocean City
*Levy-Smith totaled 18 draw controls, seven ground balls and six caused turnovers during the Crusaders’ 1-1 week, including a 17-13 win over Colgate. She finished with 12 draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers in Holy Cross’ win over the Raiders to improve to 3-1 in League play. The senior defender posted six draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls in a loss at Harvard.

*Quade tallied four goals and two assists to lead Loyola Maryland to a 19-14 victory over No. 4 Navy. She added one goal and two assists in a 16-5 win over American.
 
Mim Suares-Jury, Loyola Maryland, So., Midfielder, Melbourne, Australia/Williamstown
*Suares-Jury recorded four points on two goals and two assists to go along with two ground balls and three draw controls in the Greyhounds’ 19-14 win over No. 4 Navy. The sophomore midfielder also finished with one goal and two draw controls in a 16-6 win over American.
