BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point claimed two weekly awards when the Patriot League announced women’s lacrosse honors on Monday. American, Colgate and Navy each received one accolade.
Colgate sophomore Aubrey McMahon claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Attacker of the Week honors after tallying nine goals and one assist in a 20-13 win over Lafayette.
Army West Point senior Brigid Duffy claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Week honors for fourth time this season and the 15th time of her career after posting six goals, seven caused turnovers, six ground balls and four draw controls in a 16-7 win over Bucknell. Black Knights’ senior Sarah Chernik notched her first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, finishing with a career-high 12 draw controls against the Bison.
Navy junior Felicia Giglio captured Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week for the fifth time this season, posting a .478 save percentage and a 6.54 goals-against average (GAA) in wins over Arizona State (11-10) and Holy Cross (18-3).
American freshman midfielder Shannon Silvius claimed her first Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week award. She scored four goals on five shots in the Eagles’ 19-15 win over Lehigh on Friday.
American senior attack Kellie Linehan and senior midfielder Reagan Murdoch, Boston University junior goalkeeper Natalie Aiosa and junior midfielder Tessa Geddes, Colgate senior defender Josie Cavallo, Loyola Maryland senior goalkeeper Makenzie Butler, sophomore midfielder Mim Suares-Jury and senior attack Emma Talago and Navy junior defender Jaclyn Johns and senior attacker Emma Kennedy received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League women’s lacrosse players of the week are selected by a vote of League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*McMahon recorded 10 points, scoring a career-high nine goals and dishing out one assist in a 20-13 victory over Lafayette to improve to 2-0 in League play.
*The sophomore attacker scored four goals and had one assist during a 10-0 run between the second and third quarters to help Colgate pull away. She had a hand in half of the Raiders’ goals, helping them reach 20 for the first time since 2021.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Brigid Duffy, Army West Point, Sr., Midfielder, Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury
*Duffy scored a game-high six goals and added one assist to go along with seven caused turnovers, six ground balls and four draw controls to lead Army West Point to a 16-7 win over Bucknell.
*Her seven caused turnovers and six ground balls helped the Black Knights hold the Bison to seven goals and improve to 3-0 in League play.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sarah Chernik, Army West Point, Sr., Defender, Milton, Ga./Blessed Trinity Catholic
*Chernik recorded a career-high 12 draw controls and had one caused turnover in Army West Point’s 16-7 victory over Bucknell.
*The senior defender was part of a Black Knights’ defense that limited Bucknell to its second-lowest goal total of the season.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Felicia Giglio, Navy, Jr., Goalkeeper, Bayport, N.Y./Bayport Blue-Point
*Giglio recorded a .478 save percentage and 6.54 goals-against average (GAA) to help Navy improve to 10-0, its best start in program history, with wins over Arizona State (11-10) and Holy Cross (18-3).
*She posted three saves and allowed just two goals in 50 minutes in the Mids’ 18-3 win over the Crusaders, limiting them to their lowest scoring output of the season.

*Silvius scored four goals on five shots and added one ground ball and one caused turnover in American’s 19-15 victory over Lehigh on Friday.
*The freshman midfielder scored three of her four goals in the first half to help the Eagles cut a four-goal deficit to two by halftime.

*Linehan posted six points on four goals and two assists in American’s 19-15 win over Lehigh on Friday. Her four goals came on six shots. She added six draw controls and two ground balls.

*Murdoch posted five goals, three caused turnovers, three draw controls and two ground balls to help American to a 19-15 win over Lehigh. Her five goals were a team-high in American’s best offensive performance of the season.

*Aiosa posted a .432 save percentage in losses against Cornell and No. 22 Loyola Maryland last week. She made 10 saves against Cornell and nine stops against the Greyhounds.

*Geddes scored five goals on nine shots and added two draw controls and two ground balls in Boston University’s losses against Cornell and No. 22 Loyola Maryland. The junior midfielder posted three goals in the 13-8 loss to the Greyhounds.
